Fantastic video. You have touched on almost all the most important points. The camera image is fantastic and I like the fact that it tilts sideways as well as up and down. The only question I do have before making my final decision to buy this product, is 1) how long is the wire for the solar panel. (we might have to set the solar panel on our roof to get the most sunlight 2) Does this model take 5G WIFI or just 2.4 ? I bought and installed this camera, the cable on the solar panel is about 4ft long, because my solar panel is within 2ft from the camera, I rolled up cable and used cable loops to secure it to the house and cable ties to secure the excess cable to the solar panel support. It has both 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz. I hope this helps.

The jerkiness is primarily to do with energy conservation on the 4G solar model. Not sure why it would be like that on the non solar model though. Because solar has a limited battery and the motors are pretty large. It digitally follows and “smooths out” the target tracking using the telephoto lense on both models though

Great Great Great review. Reolink is absolutely turning out some awesome camera's. I kinda don't like that it's twice as big as the other reolink's, but not a deal breaker. Will the extra large solar panel work with the older reolink's? One thing that might be troublesome is if 2 people....or 2 animals walk up in front of the camera together but leave or move around in opposite directions, I wonder what the camera would do...which subject would it go with? Overall, it's an awesome camera and another great review. Thanks Dave

lets say the pet walks out of the frame to the right or left. Does the camera stay at that position until it detects more movement or will it return after a short time to a desired position? I own a Ranger PT. The audio going to the camera seems to be really distorted but the return audio from the camera is perfect. This happens on my phone (Iphone) or the web interface on my Windows laptop. maybe someone has a fix for the audio. I checked the firmware and its is up to date. Thanks for sharing your review. 1:55 😢 After all the videos I’ve seen on the Reolink TrackMix I had to get one. I guess I got the lemon in the bunch. Would not track, would not stay connected, and the white light kept coming on all the time. Had to send it back.

I watched your video snd bought two of the Trackmix cameras. We have an AT&T tower close to our house so I got their sim cards. Both cameras gave a message of "not registered on network. Please activate your sim card and check the signal strength ." Then I tried T-Mobile cards and got the same message. Reolink sent replacement cameras and we are still getting the error message. Could use your advice. Excellent video by the way.

I use Eiotclub sim which will pick the best signal (Att or T Mobile). I have 2gb per month or 24gb for 360 days. This is enough data for me but usage can vary by how you use your camera

Thanks for watching. This camera operates on cellular data. You must purchase a data SIM card. I recommend Eiotclub sim. (Link in description). Once the data card is installed, you can operate the camera via Reolink App 👍

You can not turn the power on and off via the app, but you can turn the PIR sensor on and off via the app. In other words if you turn the detection off it’s almost as good as powering the camera off because it uses very little power in standby mode

The Eiotclub sim is triple cut and will fit in the Reolink. The sim comes with a small amount of free data to get you up and running (and to test how you like it) and then you will need a monthly (or yearly) plan after the free data runs out.

Good questions. Larger objects (vehicles etc) have triggered the camera at 60-80 feet but in my experience 50 feet is more typical. I have a 2gb per month data plan and that has been plenty for me. I appreciate you watching. 👍

Great review thanks. I have 4 of these installed. Great Cameras indeed. One important CON you left out is the IR bulbs is of 850 Red Glow that the human eye can see the red lighted bulbs in the dark. Thus for Security purposes, it should have been with 940 IR NO Glow (unseen by human eye) which it is NOT !! Darn Reolink, what were you thinking?
