Awesome, this will work great for my meth operation, but as you know i am in prison now and i had to sneak in a phone in my "you know what hole" just to see this video and it was really painful, but worth it. Cant wait to get out and try this

*Slaps deck* This boat can fit so many Gs in it. Great job!

Absolulely amazing boat - congratulations Stepan! The hull and deck is all made of carbon fibre, and this often gives problems with RC signals, especially on RC planes, but your boat seems to have no such problem at all! 👍
@mjetdevelopment Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I know about the RC signal problem - that is why the antena goes out of the hull in a pipe, and is tied to the rollcage😁

Very good speed and your hull is a true jetsprint concerning sticking to the surface of the water and cornering like crazy! Well done!

Thanks! Probably a video with some details about what worked for me regarding hull stability will follow. Some of these things are similar to your FJD proboat experience I saw on the forum.

Oh yeah, really nice handling! Maybe just give the hull a good sand and clear coat, to bring out that carbon weave!
@mjetdevelopment2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes the hull needs a bit more finishing work and clear coat, it is on the list:)

Could you maybe do a video on waterproofing the mjet sprint mine is leakinh
@mjetdevelopment2 жыл бұрын
I will not do a video but I can give you some tips which I gathered while discussing with other people. It is a bit hard to seal the boat completely and my boat was also not 100% watertight, the leaks were just acceptable. Firstly it is necessary to identify the source of leaks - you can submerge the whole boat and watch out for bubbles. While doing this, you can rotate the boat in different ways and also flex the cover inwards a little bit to compress the air and make it leak out, and then let water in. Then you continue based on what you find out. Tips to seal the cover lid: 1) You could try applying silicone glue into the slot for the sillicone pipe on the hull and press the pipe in. This will make sure water will not leak around the pipe from the outer side. 2) You could try scaling the cover lid up by for example 0.5% in your slicer (It should be possible in most slicers) and this should remove any gap that might occur between the pipe and your printed cover lid. You can also scale the lid in X axis differently than Y and compensate for the gap purposedly if you find out it is occuring only on one side. 3) Some people reported that putting thick grease on the silicone pipe improved the seal. 4) The water might also leak through the printed lid surface itself. There should be a "thicker cover mod" in the mods folder and fix these leaks. Tips to seal the driveshaft: 1) Make sure the flat plate on the shaft around the coupler does not extend into the O-ring, creating a gap. 2) Thick grease is preferable. Tips to seal the steering rod: 1) Someone fixed a steering shaft leak by sliding a silicone pipe onto the printed steering rod, and the sillicone pipe created a good seal around the hole surface. You might need to drill the hole a little bit bigger. Some people also reported the boat was leaking through these spots: 1) Near the pump housing through the zip tie slots. This should be fixed by painting the hull from outside or applying some thin epoxy. 2) From the 3D printed watercooling channel lines, before the water goes into your silicone pipes. Someone fixed this by drilling through the watercooling channel from the outside and inserting a straight brass tube all the way through it, however that is quite a drastic method. I hope these advices help. Maybe if you identify the leak source we could discuss even more solutions. Stepan

Awesome job! Will there be a 3D printable version of the hull?
@mjetdevelopment2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I am not planning a 3D printable version - it would mean basically designing it from stratch, and there would have to be a compromise between low weight and durability.

I would like to know how to keep the connectors cool as on my jet boat they get way to hot the boat is carbon but slightly larger than yours I am only running it on 3s
@mjetdevelopment2 жыл бұрын
There is no real solution for this, just either use lower kv motor and produce less power, or use bigger connectors. I use XT60 and push up to 80A through them, they get warm.
@torquilmorrison12832 жыл бұрын
I have ec5 connectors 1000kv motor with 120A esc
@mjetdevelopment2 жыл бұрын
@@torquilmorrison1283 These are very strong connectors. They are not the problem. Also 3s and 1000kv gives very low RPM. I estimate your pump must be very big? What is the pump diameter? And also your motor size. Then we can find out where the problem is
