4HE1 Removal, Timing, and Installation

This video has saved and helped me SO MUCH! I had to replace the rack sensor on our 4HE1 injection pump and wasn't exactly sure how to time it back, we have a few Isuzu NPRs here at the shop and its very difficult to find info on these engines! keep them coming, THANK YOU.!

Have rebuilt a few of these engines due to poor maintenance they are a beautiful engine and very reliable if well maintained theyl do 1 million kms with no issues

Thankyou for the useful video, I'm in the process of changing an oil cooler on a 4he1 and need to remove the injection pump to do so correct? It looks pretty obscured behind the pump, but to remove the pump and put it back in place in my case, should I return the motor to the eight degree mark after checking the eight and thirteen degree marks so when I verify the pump is on thirteen it will return to the small eight degree mark on the pump would that be correct sir? Hello , I have 03 ISUZU npr with 4.8L 4he1 . Truck runs and drives well no problem with it it does leak oil from the exhaust manifold down to the side of the engine . I driven it like that for about 60k miles with no problem . I do see the truck has a lot of blow by I took off oil cap and I see no white smoke but a lot of pressure I put cap backwards and it blows the cap off .. what do you think this would be truck has 344k . So wondering if it's even worth overhauling truck still Runs and drives very well no problem . I would appreciate your feedback thank you

why Isuzu doesn't have lots of videos on how to fix their engines like Toyota? We get videos to fix anything on toyota and nothing on Isuzu?? I have an Isuzu NPR 400 ...4HF1 engine and don't know how to adjust my fuel pump. Can't believe isuzu does not have vids for such things
