Ignoring the results of this round can we take a moment to appreciate how healthy, sporty and just amazing the relationship Bora and Rayeon have? They were competing against each other, same positions and everything yet they supported and cheered one for another, even when both teams finished their performances and went into backstage with all those harsh critics on their backs it seemed like if there was just only one team, enduring all of that together. I’m so proud of our girls for doing such a great job leading their teams and delivering such VOCALS, wether they make it to the next round or not I’m supporting them.

Literally!! Also, when they asked Rayeon what she could do better than Bora, she didn’t put her down at all. Rather, all she did was mention how her hair was longer than Boras LOOOL. Other contestants definitely would’ve mentioned a difference in skills and how they would win, but Bora and Rayeons friendship really surprised me. I hope they both survive!!

Liang Qiao *hard carried* this performance. Absolutely, ABSOLUTELY killed this. Her part was small, but man she owned every micro-second of her parts. And again, not to mention the professional handling of the wardrobe malfunction. Jiao (her older sister) was given a part that's more on the cute-sy side, so maybe she's just cuter as a whole. But I hope Qiao realizes that she can pull off the "mysterious" vibe really, REALLY well.

보컬 어려운 노래라 음정 흔들리는건 이해하더라도 곡 이해력이 너무 아쉽네요.. ㅜㅜ 초반에는 몽환적인 분위기로 정답을 찾아 헤매는 듯한 분위기를 이어가다가 후렴구에서 그 정답이 너였다는 것을 말하면서 분위기가 전환되어야 하는데 맨 첫 소절 부르는 분부터 노래의 감정선을 제대로 이해하지 못하고 얼굴에서 웃음기를 감추지 못하니까 시작부터 무대에 집중하기가 힘들었어요. 한 두분이 아니라 대부분의 연습생분들이 다른 조가 했던 예쁘다 노래처럼 밝은 분위기인양 마냥 웃으면서 무대를 하니까 전체적으로 균형이 안 맞는 기분…

Okay, but Mnet really f****d up by giving the girls those clothes. One critique they received was that they couldn’t embody the dreamy concept.... How are they supposed to do it in those clothes? It wouldn’t seam so, but clothes are really important, they even impact how actual idols perform on stage. You can see it when idols perform a song while wearing outfits from other song, where the outfit’s don’t really fit the concept that much (like when RV performed Red Flavour in North Korea while wearing Bad Boy clothes, there was something amiss about it). I AM AWARE that Oh My Girl wore dark clothes for this song and they looked STUNNING in them, but they are the original singers who are comfortable with the song and concept, face little pressure on stage, and had colorful pastel pink and blue background to contrast and make the black POP OUT. Even then, their black dresses were very cute, with sheen white layer on the skirt part. In reality, these clothes are really the furthest thing from the dreamy concept, they are NOT CUTE like OMG’s were, they look like they could be for ELEGANT / SEXY concept at first glance (the crop tops, chokers and straps). Imagine how the girls felt when they saw team 1 in the sparkly, innocent white, while they were all dressed in black. This isn’t about wearing the color black itself at all, it’s about THE CONTRAST of team 1 having white, ACTUALLY CUTE dresses which stand out tremendously. No wonder team 2 had such a low self esteem. And it wasn’t just this team, Fiesta team 2 was given clothes that would have been good for Violeta, but they didn’t embody the fun, energetic concept at all. In fact, they MERGED with their background, while team 1’s outfits grabbed attention straight away and POPPED OUT against the background. It almost feels like Mnet tried to sabotage all teams 2, giving them worse suited clothes for the concept, letting them perform first (while in most cases they are the more nervous team).... Idk, but the girls did amazing, they have my respect and I will be rooting for them! Edit: please read a reply from D W in the replies to this comment, they explained it even better than I did and pointed out the subtle prefferencial treatment when it comes to clothes in almost all teams.

liang qiao really carried every single bit of this performance, she held it together. everytime she was on screen it was as if every mistake they made was suddenly erased, she’s so charismatic and is honestly so entertaining to watch, and you could see that in her part, even tho it was really short, it still managed to become the highlight of the performance. she’s such an elegant yet fierce dancer, and she even had a wardrobe malfunction, and she didn’t even let that crack her performance, she was still focused on it. + she had all the details down (i kept repeating her part for at least 20 mins, it’s addictive), her getting eliminated really made me sad because i see so much potential in her, i hope she debuts in korean girl group!! ^^ [i’m really proud of her]
