hey, how do you get to planespot inside, at 1:48. Not just anybody can do that. so how do you get to? Im going to do a spotting trip soon to ORD and i want to know some spots.

All Of Aviation I work at O’Hare... best recommendation is over at Wally Parking off Lawrence Ave on the east side. Stay on Scott St. and always spot with an ID. Some places you will see me filming from are private property and I am there in every case with permission. Just because I am able to does not automatically mean you can as well.

Yeah, the AA 767 used to be everywhere here and then they got relocated to MIA, PHL and other places in place of the 787. Now AA is bringing them back for some daily flights on certain days of the week. Certainly don't see N343AN Oneworld here very often but maybe that will change in the months ahead. FUN FACT: I have flown on N343AN before.

Even if it was only one of my videos I would be grateful but for folks like yourself who have visited often my appreciation is immense. It is an honor to share my love for this with folks like yourself for whom the love of aviation is mutual. Here's to many more and I thank you for all the great comments. Phase 1 here is getting some new content uploaded for all of you out there patiently waiting but phase 2 shortly will involve me attempting to once again watch the videos of all those who take the time to watch mine as well. I will try to stop by and see what you have that is new later today and even if not today, most certainly by the end of this coming week.

Love the snow I'm from upstate N.Y. and Albany International Airport doesent see this kind/size of aircraft. In 2018 I got to fly into ohare on a 737-800NG and it was snowing pretty good it was my first time into Chicago's ohare airport and I flew out of ohare to Albany airport on a crj regional plane and I had a blast on the crj there rockets I miss the old muscle jets like the 737 classic with the JT8D engines wich were loud obnoxious stout little jet engines oh and I can't forget the best muscle jet of em all the awesome 757. Doing some planespotting at ohare is on my bucket list. Unfortunately Albany airport only sees the 737-700 and A320 and 319 lately because of covid19. Albanys got a UPS 767 and a Fed ex 757 but they only fly out and in late at night in all honesty the 737 classic and NG is special to me because that was my first jet experience. My absolute favorites are the 737-800NG the 777-300ER and the 757. Awesome video man thank you. You have awesome videos 👍. Stay safe out there congrats on hitting 1000.

Believe it or not, I am still just half way through viewing your video in detail like I always do, but figured to write my “for real” comment before this post turns into ancient history. Actually, I did view your video entirely, but was on my 2nd pass for note taking. Congratulations on making it to the big 1,000! Now, I am looking forward to view another 1,000, just because I am greedy and like good things. I generally read the comments left by others before viewing your video. It seems that you have colleagues who put thought into what they write more so than the comments I have read on other posts. Not only does this speak to their good character, but to yours also in having sustained associations with these class acts of folks. While we had an APB out on you during your absence, I did a lot of research into still and video photography, and as I alluded in your “go around” video, it is very difficult to obtain optimum quality in low level light conditions. Of course, you could remedy it all by heading to “B&H Photo” with $8K to $10K (USD) for new equipment, but that would take having to wait for your next weekly paycheck. Actually, you already have an excellent camera, and I can tell without knowing its brand or name. If you take a look at some photos or videos which feature a bright light, often you see extended rays from the source which are called diffusion spikes. In your video, the spikes are very small and evenly spaced around the landing lights. This tells me your camera uses many diaphragm blades for its aperture, a feature only used in quality photo/video equipment. Unfortunately, to eliminate the effects of high gain (graininess) and aliasing, the internal gizmos of a camera have to go way primo, putting that sort of equipment out of reach for all but professionals. Hopefully, I am not telling you something you already know. But I mention all this so that you know when I say how great this video is and how much I really enjoyed watching it, I truly mean what I say. For the only way to improve on what you shared with us is to have about $10,000 of equipment and a video editor that requires a PhD just to start it. Here are some shots that I thought were exceptionally spectacular: @00:00 - The Asiana Cargo 747 was a great intro aircraft, but the first thing I noticed was that it had a missing landing light on the starboard wing root. @13:32 - The SAS A330’s take off was stunning, and for a moment, it appeared as if the sun was going to make a debut. @14:55 - The United 767 was the exceptionally defined enough for me to actually see the venting holes in the hubs of the main landing gear. @15:24 - The Cathay Pacific 777: Ditto. @16:07 - the United 777’s takeoff was another really great shot. Although I have several “Honorable Mentions”, the shot that really brought a smile to my face was the Cape Air Cessna 402 @28:05. I had so many flights in light turboprops and piston aircraft that I have lost count. But that flight from Quincy, Illinois to Chicago had to have been about 1 ½ hours, and I seriously doubt the unpressurized aircraft flew high enough to stay above the storm. So you know the flight closely mirrored a roller coaster experience. Furthermore, except for people like me, very few passengers were willing to tolerate the minute or two to walk in the freezing cold to board the aircraft without a coat (i.e.: There are no jet-bridges to keep passengers comfortable between the gate and aircraft.). So now replaying in my mind is nearly a dozen people trying to climb two steps and squeeze through a small aircraft door in a heavy coat. Then in a 2 foot wide aisle with about 5 feet of headroom, everyone simultaneously is trying to shed their coats, since the seats are so narrow. I cannot help but laugh as I picture this in my head. I know you took your video of 10L/28R and 10C/28C. But did the other 3 east/west runways have as much activity, or are those two the primary active runways at O’Hare? I am a bit long, but I do get so much out of your videos. Furthermore, I enjoy providing you feedback on my viewing experience in appreciation for all the work you put into making your videos. Thank-you so much again, and as always, I am looking forward to viewing your next post.

Hello Guerry! I greatly appreciate that you take as much time to watch and enjoy my videos as you do. I often wish I had better content for you but hey! I do what I can. I certainly hope to have at least 1,000 more for you in future. I do try to answer every comment ever written in the comment section on all of my videos... a big job, I realize. But I feel if someone is willing to take the time to watch my video I should at spend the time to write a thank you.I feel part of the secret to having a good KZbin channel relies on the concept of community and so I have spent much time trying to encourage that here on my channel. Spam and disrespectful comments are taken care of as soon as possible and I try to take care of things here as best as I can. The people who truly enjoy this channel and watch and comment consistently make it very enjoyable and I truly wish I could meet and thank all of them in person. Some folks come and go and others have been coming back for years. I like hearing your take on low-light filming... my biggest initial problem is usually getting the camera to focus but once that is done it's usually not a big deal. It was largely your advice about upgrading to 4K that caused me to take the next step here and I am truly grateful I did. As an enthusiast whose hobby makes him a little money on the side I am pretty satisfied although sometimes I do fantasize about how cool it would be to do filming at an even higher level. Thanks for including the timeline analysis, I love hearing your take on this stuff! That Cape Air shot was one that I tried prior to get and failed but I eventually converted for the score... those are hard to film smoothly because it's a small object moving very fast and it requires some serious attention to zoom accurately. Even here I don't think I did it justice but it's good enough I included it in the video. I have had the wonderful experience in past of flying aboard Cape Air and even though I didn't film it at the time I would say it was a highlight for me for sure. O'Hare usually has three landing runways with continuous triple parallel action and two departure runways going at any given time and there is not much of a break. Even in the quiet times you'll see parallel departures and landings. Most of the heavy traffic arrives on 10C-28C and so I usually spend most of my time there but there is a lot going on all at once and you do have to pick and choose what you want. Listening to ATC is a must if you really want a certain airplane because ORD ATC is extremely flexible and can re-assign runways to an aircraft very quickly. It's easier now but when 9C-27C opens up later this year(?) it will be harder to catch specific stuff since everything will be more spread out. ORD will have the ability to do quadruple parallel landings then as far as I know. You are most welcome! Looking forward to your next comment.

@@OHAREAVIATION: Thank-you for your very kind and thoughtful reply. If you ever are pressed for time and are not able to respond to any of my comments, that is not a real problem for me. I'm not someone who needs to receive recognition so my feelings do not get hurt. Besides, I only cry and pout for a day or so, then recover quickly. Actually, my reward is the work you do. Thank-you again.

I have talked with Sean (Lepp Aviation) about it... in future I may but I really generally hate cluttering the screen with info that any avgeek should be able to look up already for themselves... best way for learning aircraft types is with a spotters guidebook. Flight numbers often change and the only reason you'd want to put them in a video is maybe for historical reference (?) as for flight times those often vary and are not to the minute every time so that also changes. But yes, I get it that some like that format even though it can be time consuming to put together. I will consider it.

Jay’s O'Hare Aviation tks a lot for the answer Jay!! For sure, it’s very complicated to put that information and discovery that buy nowadays there is the Flight Radar 24 inform it!! Good job Jay, congrats! I’m pilot at Latam Airlines here in Brazil and right now without flights about pandemic I looked again to see the videos to remember that I did prior to became a pilot!!
