Have 3. 2 of 2015 and a 2019. Never had any issues beside the emissions at 100 k covered by the settlement with the government. Waiting to get my 37k for each of my 2015. If not, after testing the for transit and pro master, i can tell you that nothing beats a sprinter van. I have 122k on the 4 cyl diesel. Not one drop of oil on the ground. Never had the alignement done, transmission is flawless and my top speed is 84 mph, up to 86 if the wind is behind. True emission is an expensive fix but thankfully was covered by the settlement and now up to 1 million miles of i understood what the dealer told me. But for sure, the warranty will last much more than i could dream of. Which adds value to my vans should i want to resale them.

Everything seems great in the first months. The biggest problem with them is long term reliability. They finicky creatures with all sorts of things that break prematurely. I own a 2014, and it’s been a good vehicle, but extremely expensive to own and maintain. I’ve had around $10,000 in emissions work done on mine- mostly covered by a recall warranty. (Just got the DPF and exhaust manifold replaced under warranty, but only because of the AEM recall and settlement, otherwise I’d be on the hook for $6,000+ in repairs. Plus the thing wears through brakes 3X as fast as any other vehicle I’ve owned because of its weight and size. Mercedes is not a quality vehicle, unfortunately. These things aren’t like the old MBZ vans that ran forever on a proven truck chassis. That said, they fill a niche that isn’t met by Ford or Dodge. Everyone is stoked by their van in the first months, until the ridiculous quality issues start showing up. Hopefully yours is flawless and reliable.

I really appreciate your sharing of your Merc! It is so important to know that every manufacture has its strengths and weaknesses.i love to hear peoples experiences. I have to agree with you that build quality on certain parts of this van are so low, it's crazy, that they charge so high for it too. I am overall in love with this van and can see me owning it for the next 5-10 years (depending on what the 2024 will bring) I did just hear at my local dealer that Marc is not making anymore 2023 AWD Sprinters ATM. Mine has 10,890 miles so far and I just got the Mercedes Me to work as well on it. Was really hoping for autostart to show up in the app for the van. nope lol. She is built like a semi and drives like a luxury car. that is my take on the 2023 so far. I also have never driven any other sprinter yet either. I went from a E250, & Express Van to this 2023 Sprinter. I would not buy the Transit AWD mainly because there were more projected repairs to be done on a 2020-NEW awd than a sprinter awd (is what I read online from multiple sources)

I own a 2016 and a 2022 both 4WD 3 liter V-6s currently. I previously owned a 2008 2WD which I traded in at 175,000 miles for the 2016 to get 4WD and a backup camera. I disagree with @daisyelda about build quality etc. Did the emissions recall, which also Mercedes gave us a check $3700, plus did all the work and lengthened our warranties on. Funny thing is,they are about the same price range as American diesel pickups with better MPG and less maintenance and repairs needed. Having had many American pickup trucks in my 72 years, I wish they could say the same about all of them.

why did you not get the upgraded lights? Makes all the difference - otherwise, great van

I actually have a set of plans for installing a full led lighting upgrade. From factory is not too great.

@@broncofun5636 to be honest, I don’t know the name, I have it saved on one of my Instagram reels that I saw. Some dude basically installed a super nice LED lighting system powered by an M 18 battery switch module So I believe that is my best option without having to rely on the vehicles battery I want the vehicles battery to be solely on audio and existing technology in the van

@@SprinterDood I had the factory LED headlights and taillights put in and it was a game changer. I can actually see at night. Please post when you get your LED's put in, it would be great to see!

I definitely do not regret it Aldi making a follow video and post to get shortly I’m just waiting on my editor Highway speeds of 85 to 90 miles an hour is what I basically live on in this van
