This has been a very stressful time in my life, I'm 43 with a family, very expensive rent in Southern California and paying my way through college, I have almost zero free time. This is why I have appreciated so much your videos. As I am massively overburdened, it is nice to take a 10-15 minute coffee break between all the things I have to get done between work and school and just have a little relaxing reset. This channel for me, as for so many others, is more than just a KZbin Channel. It's sort of helping me keep sane! I know I comment all the time but that's a little about me and why I appreciate this channel.

I have never seen that amount of trash laying around in Japan until now at the beginning of this video. Everything has always been so tidy. I guess all night parties in Tokyo have that leftover though.
@NEOREV_MUSIC6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I was just about to write the same thing. First time I've seen trash on the streets. But you do see people out and sweeping up. You rarely see a broom on the streets of NYC lol.
@justinharper66776 жыл бұрын
I'm in New York on business once a month and yes its a filthy place. Even in midtown where the money is located it's still filled with garbage, bums, and the smell of urination to be had everywhere...not to mention the incessant sound of horns blaring from the most impatient drivers.
@amonrei6 жыл бұрын
Most probably because the garbage truck hasn't made its round yet and shops are not yet open since it's early in the morning. They surely can get dirty after a night drinking heh.
@ItinerantIntrovert6 жыл бұрын
Ive lived in manhattan on the upper east side all my life. It is dirty in midtown but if you think midtown is filled with people who actually live in ny then you must not be from ny. It really depends where you are in the city. Up by me things are generally clean and safe. Pretty much everywhere between 59th and 96th on the east side and between 59th and 116th on the west side is overall clean. Dirtier places are midtown, chinatown, some parts of the east village, east harlem, harlem. Basically if you live in a poor or minority area the city gives less of a fuck about your living conditions

The first time I went to Tokyo I took airport bus headed for Shinjuku station. I took off right in shinjuku around 2am and walked to shinjuku east exit, and I could not believe I was in Tokyo when I saw overwhelming trash and homeless people lying next to it...

Those garbage bags on the “Center Gai” street come from commercial stores, mostly the food service-related. They are put at every “specified place” after closing, which are supposed to be collected by garbage trucks next morning. I used to work near there Oftenly, the clever Urban Crow Gangs sniff attractive baits to break the bags, resulting in the mess! Or, some individuals would leave trashes around garbage bags, knowing that all of those will be removed together anyway soon.Because of its limited space, using huge garbage containers is not a good idea. Some scattered trash will be removed by employees before opening the stores. And then, a new fresh day will start!!

Two surprises here: 1) This is not the tidy, pristinely clean Tokyo we have come to expect from your (and others') videos. 2) Very few remarks about this in the Comments, suggesting that for most of the world there's nothing unusual about it! Thank you for this "alternate" view of Japan that we don't often see.
@kentakeshi65696 жыл бұрын
It is very difficult to see garbage in other cities of Japan, you generally see garbage in times like hanami, halloween party and shibuya as it was shown, this is because times are attracting many foreign tourists, shibuya circulate daily more than 200 thousand foreign tourists, they are not used to taking the trash home like the Japanese do. . . . as I said, it is very rare to see garbage in other Japanese cities.
