Someone took one of the best cutscenes in gaming history, from a game that's well over 20 years old, and cleaned it up so well you'd think it was released yesterday? Well, my evening's been made. Damn good work!

Man! This scene was such a gut punch to my sister and I when we were kids. Luna was such a sweet and innocent character. Seeing her go bad and basically lose her humanity felt wrong on so many levels. Worst, seeing her cuddle next to Ghalon was a kick to balls. Like seeing your childhood sweetheart cuddle with a bully. Such great memories of this game.

This is a blessing. Can't begin to imagine how much work it might have taken to get looking this good, but I would definitely love to see all of the game's cutscenes enhanced like this. Lunar was the only reason I cared for Sega CD besides Sonic back in the day and I wish it made a comeback in some form or another.

Interesting upscaling demonstration, but especially for '90's anime and PS1 FMVs, I actually prefer the "VHS" noise and look. It looks unpolished that way, of course, but that's just part of the nostalgic charm.

nicely done, a great cleanup of the original, ehh the lip sync was bad in the original as well so hardly noticeable lol. all in all it looks good and was looking for a decent picture of the fortress to maybe try making it in minecraft now that we have a larger block palette to work with :)

Hmm, I might try that one... :D But it will be lower quality due to only having the PS1 movie files. Lunar SSSC had an overseas PC release that had a higher resolution to start with.

It's getting there.. Resized it from 320x224 to 1280x896 using various filters. Pieced it back together, and now making it 60 FPS. Too bad my GPU is so slow... It's been days of processing in the background D:
