For those wondering, Archimonde's stats aren't actually so insane, he just has the armor type makes him only take close to 1 point of damage from all attacks types that aren't chaos. This mission has no chaos damage available, but if Human Arthas with the Frostmourne (chaos damage) and his divine shield were present, he could have solo'd Archimonde in a few minutes without getting hit once.

Divine shield is 45 seconds, and that leaves 15 seconds before he can use it again. Archimondes SPELLS are quite insane, mass infernals and finger of death(1000dmg to creatures). I dont think Arthas would win, but he certainly would be able to fuck him up more than a 100 Taurens ever could

The primary objective of that mission is to kill Cenarius. Drinking the tainted well is only a secondary objective. So technically it isn't required to drink the blood to complete the mission, but it makes it a lot easier.

It is quite hard since Cenarius will go " Orc stop touching my night elves" each time you get closer to any base, so in my case i decided to literally vanquish every base and then leave him forever alone [then killing him] , to do this distract him with mirror images , so he'llbe furstrated once he realized ya took down one of the bases

Cenarius is divine. A chaos attacks only deal a large amount of damage to Cenarius so if you use ordinary orcs, its very hard even if you had an 100 army of max taurens

I killed Cenarius without going to the fel fountain first. I didn't even know going to the fel was so important, so I decided to make an attack on the bottom Night Elf base. Little did I know that Cenarius is going to skip the fel thing completely and cross the river to launch a full-scale assault. I had like 150 watch towers in my base and barely managed to kill him. Don't know how because he can only be killed with chaos type of attack, so it kinda sucks. Developers didn't think that through really. Yes, it was really hard, but obviously not impossible to kill him without chaos attack. If I was a developer, I would give some special reward for people who manage to finish the mission in an unorthodox way, by killing the enemy earlier or destroying the base. I would give them some shout-out, some special icon, some unique code that they can use to purchase something, I don't know... I also remember the mission with Thrall, "Countdown to Extinction" where I had to survive for 20 minutes I think, and then I destroyed all of her bases, cleared the entire map of everything, and still had to wait for the time to run out. It kinda sucks.

Devine armor doesn't make the character completly immune to non-chaos attacks, Devine armor just absorbs like 95% of the damage, plus Archimonde has stupidly high armor stat so he takes about 50% of the damage les because of it as well. It all combined makes him take like only about 2.5% of the entire damage which makes you deal about 1 hit point with even the strongests of attacks which he quickly regenerates... To kill him you need to absolutely spam him to death as you did with Cenarius, this much dps makes it so he can't heal himself fast-enough making killing him possible

I've seen two others. The first guy built a ton of bolt throwers and kited Archimonde at the site of the (destroyed) Alliance base for a long time. The second built a ring of ancient protectors around Archimonde, then uprooted them all at once and swarmed him. It's amazing to see so many different ways of doing the "impossible"!

I know near the late WC3 patches all creeps level 5 or 7 + had chaos attack. I remember that change and in this level a tavern top left had those to recruit. So after w/e patch that was you could get like 5-10 of them by the end of the level and kill him with them. Well if your safe.

Did it as well but way easier. You can simply do not let undead expand to the human base by destroying it with Hyppo and archers at the beginning. Then Archimonde is just stuck there and doesn't move further, then you can kill him from distance with Glaive Throwers. After killing it he appears again if you destroy orc base :P
