Thank you Boris! Just a short summary for those who don't understand Norwegian. Angelina expressed her joy about being back in Norway and being able to be on stage again. She said that she after AGT had the opportunity to create a lot of originals which she is still working on and will come out very soon. She also said that she fully invest in music and that music is her life.

You really get an idea how of much Angelina has grown these past few years. Although there was no closed captioning, I was still able to understand the gist of the conversation and look how Angelina towers over her interviewer. She's sixteen and she's not even fully grown yet, astounding! She looks beautiful and confident. I just wish I was there. Someday soon, I will see Angelina live and I can't wait! Cheers!

I have missed Norway so much. It is so nice to be here. It is so fun to be here again and play at Kongsberg. I invests 100% in music in the future. I'm working on the latest on my new album coming soon. " Journalist: "You have lived in the US for a long time now, so it is in English and Norwegian mixed ...?" Angelina: "(..giggles ...) 🤗..yes it's true .." - New album coming soon ...

Thank you, Boris, for bringing this to her fans. My, my. The shy little Angelina is getting past that shyness now and her interaction with the press is being used for some promotion. In other words, she goes beyond the answer to a question and offers more exciting information (new album with original songs that are almost done, etc.). Now, we can sense the joy in her responses and that simply gladdens my heart. Thanks for the translation too.
@borgerborgersen3722 жыл бұрын
It seems to me her native language now is English. She finds it easier to express herself in English than Norwegian. She speaks Norwegian with some English words. So we can surely say now she is 100% fluent in English. The most important info she told is that her new album will be out very soon and will contain her original songs.
@borispalenovski63022 жыл бұрын
please don't be too strict to Angelina, I have a lot of my classmates, and also my daughter living in the US for a long time and they all still speak fluent Russian, although with a slight accent. I'm sure Angelina is just excited and emotional during the interview which happened right after the concert, so she just uses the first words that come to her mind, but she'll never forget Norwegian. BTW, this is what I just replied to someone named Hege in FB ;) You definitely have similar thinking ;)
@ryanjacob33382 жыл бұрын
@John-Tore Gundersen I am not bilingual but there isn't just different words, but different ways of speaking and thinking, sometimes she may be getting herself stuck looking for a word that doesn't exist. It would be difficult to be bilingual. She will likely get better at it, and having different states of mind for different languages. A tough point to articulate. A good idea would be planned interviews, in both languages with time for prepared responses. She could maybe even practice that with her family. I bet it is only a matter of approaching sentences differently and getting into a flow. But she honestly has bigger fish to fry. Had people travel from around the world to see her this summer and was using both languages because of that. Probably interrupting her getting back into that flow. The world should appreciate Norway for being the village that raised this child. A busy 16 year old had to learn English and then use it for 3 straight years. She didn't sit at home all day trying to forget and disrespect. She hasn't told anyone that she is from LA that we know of. I think she will always cherish your language, and so much so she can seemlessly transition between languages one day the way she does between singing techniques.

This old form of jazz was called 'Swing' and was something people could hear when attending Big Band concerts back in the 30's & 40's. When the main orchestra would take a break, a female soloist would come out and sing songs like this with a minimal amount of orchestra members. Have to believe Grandma Mery made her aware of this type of singing.

@@borispalenovski6302 ....well...that comment of yours have I already seen and also commented on ....but my comment seem somehow to have disappeared.... So I can recall some of it here.... That Angelina mixes English into the Norwegian is not so strange when living over time in an English speaking country ...it takes some time to readjust. But I register (..yeah..an observation not an attempt to be negative to Angelina. You might not like reality, but so is it) that her Norwegian language skills is less than impressive and is at times clumsy ...which it always has been. So even at an age of 16 she sound more like a child. It sound like she has grown up and aquired her language skills in one of Oslo's many immigrant environments ...and there the language skills are very variable...

@@borispalenovski6302 Yeah, YT is a strange place. Things can be a bit random there. I didn't write anything "worse" than what you can see here. On the other hand I must say that it is impressive how you just keep on and on with promoting Angelina stuff. Even scanning NRK news. Didn't know that was a go to place for a Russian ...but maybe you know Norwegian language.... I "expect"(haha) that you will be rewarded with a sum in the multi millions.....or..... Finally I will give you two short story about my "skills". I made a phone call to someone in Arkhangelsk and started with a couple of sentences in Russian. But in the recieving end they didn't exactly fall off their chair given my "fantastic" Russian language skills.... They just said ...yeah, yeah I know who you are..... Thirty years ago I bought a train ticket at the station in Warszawa for travelling to Vilnius. An obvious choice I thought...and no one objected. There were surprisingly many Russians on the train ...but whatever ...I had a great time talking with them... After some time the train stopped ...for me of some unknown reason.... In came there uniformed men asking for passport ...and visa.... Me:....visa....for what....????? They: Granitsa ....Belarus..... So there were no direct train to Lithuania as I had assumed .....but only via Belarus....branching off from the main line to Minsk and Moskva. That is the only time I have been inside a country without knowing I was going there ....and having no visa even when needed...haha... There were many more twists to that unexpected visa and border crossing story ...but I can take that another time....
