i really appreciate the unique descriptions on every video!! seeing the exact same description copy pasted under every video on a person’s channel is getting old lol. the effort gibi puts into each video on this channel is clear, down to the personalized description each time :)! as always, everything’s so polished and the sounds are great

Blank space for those who want it! 💛 Have a good rest of your day/night ♡ and to those wondering why this is a thing, for me i find this useful because im on youtube dark mode and the blank space helps with not making my screen so bright (brightness makes it harder for me to sleep) Usually the white text from other comments, video recommendations, and description have visuals too bright for me and i get distracted by them easily. i find it super convenient to have my comments section open, left on this blank space so that i can sleep easier:) I hope this makes sense

When I was in music school, there was a lot of debate on whether pianos are percussion or string instruments, so I don't think there is a right answer! My answer is the secret third option - pianos belong to their own category of keyboard instruments with organs, electronic keys, etc.! Great video as always!

my goodness, this has to be the BEST ASMR channel. I even got full blown goosebumps a few times. I'm pretty new to ASMR, but I'm so happy to have discovered it and you in particular. I'm very sensitive to the personal attention and grooming aspect of ASMR, and you struck every chord... hit every spot. When I was a younger, my cousin would love cleaning my ear with a hairpin. It was my favorite thing, I would have tingles the whole time she would do it. It would grow even more intense whenever she switched to the second ear. I would also ask my mom to comb my hair, or if I could comb her hair. My mom passed away, but your videos transported me back to my childhood, giving me that same tingly feeling of my mom combing my hair or my cousin cleaning my ear. You have tapped into something special here. I'll also commend your for your charm. You've struck a balance of creating a sense of intimacy without crossing into the slightly sexual realm that so many female ASMR content creators cross. I'm exclusively watching your content now. Thank you so much for your work

Hi! Piano teacher here. 🎹You’re right Gibi, piano is a percussion instrument. Technically it is an idiophone or a pitched percussion instrument. You were right about you’re explanation too the hammers hit the strings so it is percussion. 🎹
@singingservant10
@singingservant10 Жыл бұрын
It was originally categorized as a chordophone, wasn’t it? The same as harps, lyres, guitars, etc. I know that’s not a common categorization in modern instrumentation, but *technically* the piano (pianoforte) is both a stringed and a percussion, right? (I studied classical voice for my BA and MM, so it’s been a while since I studied piano or had any sort of music history or instrumentation course and may be remembering wrong)

23:28 had to laugh a little bit, because the "Plus" chain doesn't exist anymore in germany, that's how I knew those tissues must've been really old. 2010 Plus sold all stores to other retailers. There mascots were "Die kleinen Preise", small pricetags with faces that had pitched up voices.

This is really nice. As someone who isn't immune to tingles, these "Break your tingle immunity" videos are super.

I really like your pre-video warning.Not that such things affect me in any way, shape or form. But I´d imagine it as very useful for people that are sensitive or squemish to such things. Another S-tier piece of content !

You’re so funny Gibi! “I look like I’m allergic to hot dogs” “I look like I have food poisoning” “I shouldn’t have eaten those diy oysters”. You actually made my day so thank you!

Just experienced a major crisis that was 10 days long and involved many active pieces. Just experienced the first panic attack in my life. Already a fan of Gibi and could retreat from the intensity and decompress with Gibi in my ears. Met with a therapist today and she asked what my coping tools were. Easy answer….Gibi whispering.

I get the deepest asmr tingles when you pause / readjust between doing triggers, even if it’s just swallowing between words. Can’t explain it.

As a piano teacher, former cello player, and someone who's dabbled in other strings and percussion instruments, a piano is a percussion instrument. It's easy to ask a cello player to figure out how a guitar, violin, or other string instrument works, because they're in the same family. And it's easy to ask a piano player to figure out how every tuned percussion instrument works (tubular bells, xylophone, marimba etc) because they're in the same family.
