Love when you let us experience the immensity of the columns in its entirety and when you do panorama shots of what the full view would feel like if we were spanning the sky from left to right or even 360. I'd also adore seeing you stop in a few places to show us the details such as a close up of the materials it's made of. Or even small features that seem to pass by too quickly but that make the monuments or streets you visit unique. :) It would make us feel even more close. -Much thanks from a severely disabled housebound traveler. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the tour! For me, a tour of Athens / The Acropolis holds a special nostalgic meaning since Athens was my first walking tour video (almost 10 YEARS ago, hard to believe). Funny to still see the construction cranes present on the site, they'll probably be there in a similar tour filmed 10 years from now ;-). I remember the local site security having no problem with me filming but they had an issue with me using a microphone to capture the audio lol (after some back and forth exchanges, they let me use it). Anyway, great job capturing the place and ambiance. These types of videos age like fine wine, gradually changing purpose from capturing a place as it is and becoming a 'time capsule' of a place as it was. You have gained a new subscriber.

Morning GTA, Well what a nice message to wake up to on a grey day. How interesting to hear that Athens was your first walking tour video (and almost 10 YEARS ago!). So the construction cranes were there even then? You are a Pioneer of these kind of subtle walks and I'm grateful to you for it. They really are an important document of our times and your films are so subtle and sensitively made. I've been watching again your footage of Banff National Park in Alberta and love your pace and timing and your knowing just how much to give us. I've subscribed to you too of course and added you to my featured channel. If you feel like doing the same it would be a welcome thing but that's not my purpose. I'll be getting the DJI pocket 2 next week btw, any thought on it yourself. It seems like a powerful little thing and so good in low light. Anyway, like fine wine I hope our relationship grows and remains here on youtube, I value the connection.
@GlobeTrotterAlpha4 жыл бұрын
@@LivingWalks Thank you for the kind words. I do try :-) The DJI pocket 2 looks like a nifty new camera. It's amazing how far and fast camera tech has improved within the last decade, especially stabilization tech. DJI has been leading the charge in creating very good and affordable cameras and support systems. I use their DJI Ronin S with my Panasonic GH5. They just came out with the Ronin RS 2, the replacement for the Ronin S (it's almost impossible to keep up with the speed in which newer/updated camera tech is released). A camera system like the DJI pocket 2 has 2 very desirable traits for this type of filming. Size and weight. It's also very competitively priced. My main concern for this camera system would be the sound quality of the add-on microphone. Also, how easy would it be to attach/change the ND filters and their quality? Finally, the size of the screen would make it kind of difficult to frame a shot (for filming while walking, it doesn't really matter since I never really know what's in the footage until I sit down and review it on my laptop). I'm curious to see your future footage with the DJI Pocket 2. If it does indeed deliver, I might look into picking one up myself for those shots that require some 'stealthiness' lol. I shall add you to my featured channel list as well.

Really wonderful video !!! I was at the Acropolis on September 9th 2019, at 1 pm: terrible hot 35° and a mess of people ! I thought to die under the burning sun, but it was dry. I think the next time I will return to Athens, I will go to Acropolis in the morning: quiet, silent and few people.
