I can't seem to buy tickets for November =(. They are not available, maybe you need to wait for November 1st? Great video though! You explain everything so simply.
@FrolicAndCourage2 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching and for the compliment 😊 I’d check back on Nov 1 to see if the system will accept reservations since the hours change. In the alternative, you may be able to purchase tickets in person when you arrive or through a guided tour (3rd, party). Keep checking and I pray they open up, soon 🙏🏽

Hi there. I absolutely love your videos, and this one is excellent! I have a question for you. I’m planning a trip to Athens and Santorini for September of 2025. Was thinking of staying 5 days in both. Obviously 5 days in Athens should be enough to take some awesome tours, but is 5 days too much to just stay in Santorini? Should I look into day trips to other islands while there? I’m hesitant about that because it looks like such a headache taking the ferries. And would you recommend renting a car in either place? Any info would be appreciated. ❤
@FrolicAndCourageАй бұрын
Hi Lisette! 10 days in Greece sounds like an awesome trip 😊 I think 5 days is plenty in Santorini. It gives you time to really soak in the island, wonder the streets, go on a catamaran day trip cruise, visit Oia & the Volcano, hang out at a beach, and just sit and enjoy life 😌 I I don’t recommend renting a car in Athens unless you absolutely need to. If you stay in a central location walking is usually faster and more enjoyable. If you have time, check out my Athens transportation video for more info: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2XFZmeupbypoNE Getting around Santorini is…interesting from what I’ve heard. Some people recommend cars if you’re staying further away and others recommend renting a quad or bike, but those come with high risks to your safety (narrow, crowded streets and accidents). Once you have your itinerary together, I’d map out all the locations and see what your options are. Happy travels!!

Thank you so much. I agree with you on the renting a car. I did book in Santorini away from the craziness, so I’ll have to think about that one. Maybe just doing the buses will be a better choice idea. And as far as Athens, I have locations picked right in the central location, so yes, I think walking is the best bet on that. Now that you’ve answered my questions, I definitely feel better😅. Thanks ❤

Just a heads up, you can actually buy free tickets (that cost 0 euros) on the website you mentioned as official in the description, its for EU up to 25 years :)

If you need to pick up free tickets for kids for the acropolis how would that work if you booked an 8:00am time? Is the ticket office open early?

Great video! Thank you so much for it! 🤗 One question please, can i enter my Camera tripod with me inside the acropolis? And i have also a small mic, 8s that also allowed? Many thanks in advance! ❤
@FrolicAndCourage2 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! I believe tripods are not allowed, along with mics 🎤 I had a tiny two inch microphone and was politely asked by the staff to remove it. Other than that, cameras are allowed 📸 😊

@@FrolicAndCourage Thank you so much for your reply! I see, I'll take my mic with me anyway, if they ask me to remove it, I'll just put in my bag! 😆

From what other videos have said, and I believe the website says, the time on your ticket is actually the beginning of your one hour time slot and then you have 15 minutes of leeway on either side of that hour. So, a 9 am ticket should allow you to enter any time between 8:45 and 10:15. Is that your understanding? Thanks
@FrolicAndCourage6 ай бұрын
Correct! You have 15 minutes leeway on either side of your time slot. So, if you purchase a 9-10am slot, you can enter anytime between 8:45-10:15am.

Wonderful vid - will but the General admission ticket, for sure. Did you say five thousand dollares for a private tour????? My gosh , who would pay that money???
@FrolicAndCourageАй бұрын
Thanks! I agree, €5,000 is quite expensive 🫢 I can see maybe celebrities or those who REALLY want to guarantee a private experience paying for it.

How can I skip the line? I buy 1-2pm ticket. Is there a separate line for people with online tickets?

I want to see Acroplis on August 22 at 09:00. But I want to see the other points on the combined ticket on August 21. There is no ticket option like this. If I buy a ticket for the 22nd, will I be allowed to enter these places on the 21st?
@eleniasimop5 ай бұрын
You may buy a combined ticket for the Ancient Agora for 21 which includes also the Acropolis and visit It the other day.
@enginersoz5 ай бұрын
@@eleniasimop There is no combination ticket option for Ancient Angora, only single tickets are sold for this place. The combined ticket is available as Acropolis & Slopes and requires a time slot here too. I think this time slot for the Acropolis entrance.
@soochrmd7 ай бұрын
Nice and concise. Great tips. A question related to combo ticket- I would like to ask if i buy the combo ticket for May 12th, can i still visit the other places(than Acropolis) on May 11th,10th and irrespective of the time?

Where are the shuttles? Is there one near the metro station? Is there only one metro stop?
@eleniasimop5 ай бұрын
There is a metro station named Acropolis which is practically outside of the Acropolis museum and near the entrance to the Acropolis it self. Very easy to find.

Thank you for the wonderful vlog. I am planning to visit Athens in this June. I am confuse for buying tickets. I want to visit Acropolis, Parthenon and other sites too. If I buy one day Acropolis ticket would that allow me to visit all of that places include Parthenon? Thanks in advance.
@FrolicAndCourage8 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching Apexa 😊 When you buy a one day ticket to visit the Acropolis (remember - the Acropolis is the large hill), you gain entry to view all the structures that are located on the Acropolis Hill, including the: - Parthenon - Erechtheion - Temple of Athena Nike - Odeon of Herodes Atticus - Propylaea - Theater of Dionysus, etc. If you purchase the 5-day ticket, you gain entry to the Acropolis (with all the structures on the hill) and other ancient sites around Athens (not located on the Acropolis hill) listed in the video. Hope this helps!

Acro means highest place and polis is an urban center. So Acropolis means the highest point in the city. Many towns had an Acropolis but only Athens had the Parthenon

I just concluded my trip and thanks to you everything went relatively smoothly (except for the times when we couldn't find certain entrances lmao). I highly recommend buying the combined tickets because you get to see so many things for a fraction of the price. I'd like to add that I drank like 4 bottles of water on the way to the Parthenon so maybe keep that in mind :)

First time viewer. Very information I’ve been seeking. However, a suggestion for next videos you create Please slow down your speech. You shouldn’t have to rush. It was very hard to understand your narrative. If you view yourself and follow along with TRANSCRIPT you will see how often it misses what you’re saying. It became very annoying trying to analyze major details. But thank you for helping me to get ready for this trip in June 2025.

Greeks liked to be called Romans during the Byzantine era. I am kind of confused with this part of history, because Romans have also been idololatric before Christ. Seems that Jesus made everyone a Roman and imagine he would be nearly killed by a Roman LOL. I kind of believe they were Byzantine Greeks rather than Romans, because Rome fell and was transfered in Constantinople. They wanted to distinguish ancient Greek idololatry with Christian Greeks.
