The cargo variant '767-300F’s, which are still coming off the production line, are made without winglets. If a cargo 767 does have them it’s usually a 'Passenger to Freight' conversion. Or so I read somewhere. I kinda hate the look of winglets, (primarily on 'Boeing' jets), so I’ve poked around for related information. I mean, I’m sorry, but I just prefer the classic look. I especially HATE these new clunky split deals they’re putting on the 737’s, they have got to go!😏 Seriously, did you see that clean-lined, sleek, & un-wingleted '757' beauty @ 3:42 ? You just can’t beat that! And 'Delta' has some which are still in their teens, so they’re not always necessarily the older ones that are sans-winglets.

I know in the past winglets were added to aircraft well after they were in service, but since the 737's are coming off the line w/the split scimitar (sp?) winglets I figured the same would hold true for brand new 767's. I agree that I prefer the clean wing look sans winglets/tips/sharklets for Airbus (the different names for essentially the same part irritates me too). Especially on the 767's, they're so obnoxiously big, ha. Thx for the reply & info. 😉👍👍✌

That BCAD 727-200 has been there for like A LONG TIME Saw it once on a Delta A321 flight to Salt Lake City in 2018, and it showed up again when I went on two DC trips on Southwest, one in 2018 and 2019, and finally, once more when I was passing at FLL picking someone up

Great Opener ~ I still remember my first passenger flight on a 737-200 model. The 739 hardly resembles the 732. The useless eyebrow windows have managed to disappear also; Boeing did away with them years ago.

1:42 I assumed that United aircraft was brand new, so I had no idea it was so old. Why would United do that Livery on an 18yo plane instead of a much newer model? It just seems odd to me.

Boxset The flight info says it’s a 737-824. Not a Max.. They are split scimitar winglets found on the majority of newer 737 NGs.

Ok this is clearly an NG. These are CFM56 and not the Leap engines the max uses. The scimitar on this comes to a point where the max is more square and are at more of an angle. It has no LED nav lights on the tail. The APU exhaust isn't pointed.

T M they’re most likely giving headings to turn out to after take off so they can get on course faster or for traffic avoidance. Ex turn 060 after departure

Exactly what Khaleel said. Seems like ATC assigns most departures a heading on 10L after departure. Usually 400 feet above the ground they’ll begin the turn

(quick unrelated question - how do you insert your comments/subtitles? I sang an opera aria on my channel, and I wanted to add permanent subtitles. Tried everything, haven’t got a clue!)

The Max planes that dropped out of the skies were only 6 months old. At least with the old aircraft they have had years to prove themselves.

Aircraft age has nothing to do with the safety of it. It it did, they wouldn’t be flying. Delta has exceptional maintenance which keeps their aircraft flying for many years. In some cases, the older aircraft can be safer since they’ve had their early issues ironed out.

nallis01 It definitely seems that way lol. But there are always problems with every aircraft. We just don’t notice it unless it’s a larger issue because the aircraft have Minimum Equipment Lists that basically says they can legally fly with inoperative equipment. Maintenance is definitely held to a much higher standard for aircraft as well lol
