In July, rain kept falling for almost 2 weeks here in Japan too. During this period, I was unable to go outside to shoot a video for a long time. Is it because of the global warming? I'm not sure but it may have something to do with this unusually long rain. Thank you very much for watching! 😄

So, I’ve been looking for a clear copy (like, with minimal background noise) of the Japanese crosswalk signal sound in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3TYY6hqo9-Uidk (go to 2:59) I have found a few videos that have a clear recording of the sound but I can’t find any that have the announcement at the beginning. If you could maybe try to get a clear recording of the sound if you ever come by one that would be great!

I'm sorry I don't understand the "announcement" part very well. Some corsswalk signals actually say in a woman's voice "The signal has turned green. Confirm your safety and cross." (← Of course in Japanese) Is that what you mean? I happened to have a video that I shot at the exact same spot as you showed me as a reference. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWfKgaiIgrOGh8k (go to 4:18) In both videos, I hear such announcement. I'm afraid if I understood you correctly... Thank you.

I searched on the Wikipedia and I learned that Torokko is derived from a word "truck" and the pronunciation changed to "torokko" as it it now. Since the word "truck" is a foreign word, it's written in Kanakana.

No. This video happened to be shot during the pandemic, so normally it's very very crowded.
