Back in the day when I studied in Kyoto, whenever my friend or family come to visit and ask for one day tour... this is it! Kiyomizu > Yasaka jinja> Kamogawa (with some beers and barefoot in the river)> Gion (just for passed by some Geisha)> Walk around Kawaramachi > Have some drink and food in Pontocho. Never get bored of this!
@VSV_Japan3 жыл бұрын
Glad that I coincidentally followed your one day tour! 😁 I wish the weather had been nicer when I shot this video but I hope I can shoot in the nicer weather next time I go there. Thank you so much for watching! 😁

I have mixed feelings seeing Kyoto during the pandemic. It's not empty, but it feels that way. I like seeing Kyoto without tourists, but it feels surreal. This is Kyoto, but it's like it's from a parallel universe.

I understand what you mean. It was so strange to see Kyoto like this. I hope everything goes back to normal again soon. Thank you very much for watching! 😄

I'm glad you had a wonderful time in Kyoto. I didn't have a lot of luck in the weather in Kyoto when I shot this video so I'd like to go back there and shoot some more videos again one of these days. Thank you so much for watching.

Once again providing more memories. My first week in Japan after my stay in Kobe was in Kyoto. Once again walking the same places I've been, though back then considerably more crowded. Also I took much the same walk, but in reverse. I really miss it all
@VSV_Japan4 жыл бұрын
At first I wanted to shoot this video in the reverse way. Starting from the train station to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. But after I walked this route to plan my walk route before the shooting, the weather started to change so fast. So I decided to shoot this video in the reverse way. 😄 Thank you very much for watching!

Nice walking video of Kyoto! ⛩️ It's usually packed during this time of the year but it seems less crowded in this video. I miss kyoto❤️
@VSV_Japan4 жыл бұрын
Kyoto was complaining about over-tourism for a long time. But now that there are much less people, I guess Kyoto is missing those good old crowded days. Thank you very much for watching.

Thanks for the scenic walking tour! I like how you included the names of streets, temples/shrines in your video. I don't notice that in your newer ones. I was hoping you would include Tatsumibashi Bridge on your way to Kamogawa River. Also, I wonder if the crowd has returned to Kyoto now, 2 years after your video.
@VSV_Japan Жыл бұрын
Yes, there are so many people in Kyoto now. Please take a look at this one for example. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jnXIgpSIj8Srr6M As for the street names insertion, I just don't have enough time to do it. Sorry.

There were so many people in the gion street.It reminds me of the coffee I waited for at Starbucks.😍
@VSV_Japan4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that's true. Gion was complaining about over-tourism for a long time and some restaurants in Gion refused first time customers. Actually I wanted to shoot in Gion but there were so many signs of "No Photography" all over and I didn't want to get involved in a trouble. That's why I just passed by.
