4K Bird Video-Bird cam feeder- silly birds fighting over food! Woodpecker rules the roost!

I will say this folks. I don't recommend putting a bowl of seed in the middle of a bird bath. Not only does it dirty the water quickly. Most birds won't feel comfortable having their tail feathers soaked while they eat. Therefore, after 35yrs in the avian field having "hands on" experience with everything from Warblers to Birds of Prey. I would STRONGLY suggest keeping both sources apart from each other. If for nothing else sanitary issues.

Thanks Tom! I know very little about birds but I’m trying! I started feeding them by accident. I left out my dog’s food one day and caught them stealing from the bowl. It made me feel bad so I went out the next day and bought bird feed. I had never noticed them before but now I’m hooked on watching their little lives and behavior 😂 thank you so much for the tip. I will change the set up next time I film. I appreciate it.

You need more food dishes if there’s enough of them to fight over food. It would help prevent stress and disappointment for them.

so cute!! thanks for posting this vid ♥birds fighting over food in a feeder can be so funny. I recently saw a bird sit in the middle of a feeder so that no one else could eat. Another one flew UNDER him somehow, and started eating quickly, spreading its wings while the one on top resorted to stomp and peck him in the head, to no avail 🤣love watching birds!

No! It was my way of trying to make things accessible in one area and turned out to be a big “no, no!” 😂 I’m still learning as I go. So grateful to watchers for helping me make a nice little paradise for these birds and for letting me know how to properly get things done in a way that’s safe and clean for these beautiful babies.

YES! Great catch Ginger! The varied bunting is so colorful. Haven’t seen him in a while though. The white wing dove have taken over our feeders. I have some fledglings to post soon!

you could add some grass, small branches, or a few rocks around the water area and also in center to help protect insects from getting trapped in the water. So they have an easy way to escape. It would keep the area safer for all creatures visiting!"💚🩵
