@Carol this was a great video and now I know more about U.N. Village. Im from Los Angeles and grew up knowing and visiting the homes of many celebrities and have held private suites with private maids in Las Vegas. I do not easily get in awe of splendid decor, however I can appreciate it always. We have much more space here, so living in a 2-3 story mansion in a guarded community is not a really big deal here in California. They are well-guarded…much better than celebrities here in California.

Why is that village so popular? 1. Because it is located in the most central part of Seoul, it is convenient to go everywhere. 2. There is only one way to enter and exit the village, so security is convenient. (This is the most important. Korea has very good security so there is no crime, but celebrities want to protect their privacy from journalists and paparazzi.), 3. It is right next to the Han River and it is on a low hill, so it is a place where you can see the Han River from the house. The Han River is a very large river, so it feels like home on the beach. So your mind is at peace and at ease. 4. Since it was originally a place where many diplomatic facilities and diplomats lived, the wealthy Koreans also started to gather. Lastly, if you simply want a large and spacious yard, you can find a house on a large land near Seoul. However, it takes a lot of time to get to Seoul because the traffic in Seoul is very complicated and very congested.

This place is sooo expensive I thought it will be detached grand design houses but it's Apartments. Nothing welcoming and appealing in UN VILLAGE. I expected a lot lot lot and thats it. They could have done the entrance, streets, lights more luxurious since they are paying that amount of money. They can make it more appealing and more Exclusive that no one can enter that village if you are not a resident I know the security will be tight in each apartments but can do more at the entrance. Oh well that's the way it is 👌

Honestly, alot of these buildings are super unappealing on the outside. Most of them could use a serious power wash or a coat of fresh paint. They look a bit dirty to me.. This place doesn't have the feel of somewhere that the ultra rich lives, with the exception of the luxury cars. I hope the future of luxury architecture in Korea will produce better looking buildings than these. Also, this place just needs a better flow and Korea tends to be super clean, so I was a little surprised to see so many bags of trash outside. Aside from that, I enjoyed the tour and you did a great job showing all the different villas, homes, and apartments.

I think most Asian countries focus on the simplicity and not too much on the flashier aspect, even in the rich neighborhoods. I’d rather have the money utilized towards other more important than just the outer facade of buildings.

It's kinda similar here in Tokyo. The super rich areas look kind of....ummm drab to me? And aged? There are some nice houses sure but even in the ultra luxury zones there are like electrical poles, wires hanging across the streets, kind of narrow and undulating roads and run-down look. It's still nice and neat though which is what I love about Japanese aesthetics. Still, the rich areas of Singapore looks more impressive overall.
