Was there anything inside N711HK that told the story of the livery? I flew on New Mexico One and it had a plaque but I never got the chance to fly on this one.

So cool to see that SWA in action. N871HK is line number 8405 and I specifically remember building this one at the Renton plant. I’m a QA for flowdays 1-3 where the fuselage starts the process after arriving from Kansas. I remember seeing SWA MAX 8 on paperwork, just another 737 like everyday but couple days later when it arrived into flowday 4 where wings get attached, I saw the SWA retro color on the winglets and shat my pants. Fangirling hard and got in trouble for taking a pic of it hahaha great catch!

That Herb Kelleher Tribute is sexy. I feel like that mustard color is metallic...idk what it is but it is modern, retro and super clean!

It is definitely more of a gold than the old mustard color. It is a very obvious metallic in person. I do wish it was the original color but it does pop in the sunlight.

Epic! The brand new livery happened to visit TPA from AUS. Know I’ve seen it at PHX and some other areas. Southwest made a Canyon Blue Retro livery in the MAX 8. Hopefully, I record both someday. I am hoping for one of the retros at TPA this Wednesday for a spotting Thanksgiving special.

No I was on the roof of the parking garage. It is right over the Southwest gates so we get some good views there.

Hey There I was there yesterday at CMH for the gold SW Just asking where you were for it I might have been next to you. Keep up the good work tho! If there was a kid with his mom next to you that would be me! Love your videos! That day I was at CMH and saw the SW tail and thought it had a different yellow shade I looked at Flightrader24 and saw that plane and Rushed down to see it! Hope you have a good rest of your day!

Excellent good video, mr NickFlies. When i see the Southwest livery there was in Europa a long time ago a German airline have flown with a gold livery of Haribo. Wich airline that was i don't know it was beginnings of 2002 or later. Nice video Maestro 👌👍🤞. A planespotter from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, home of KLM and hub of Delta. It does look a lot like the Haribo livery. I wish Southwest would have painted it the correct shade of gold on the retro (it was more of a mustard gold) but it is still neat to see it. I remember that livery being everywhere when I was a kid.
