Burbank is a city in Los Angeles County in Southern California, United States, 12 miles (19 km) northwest of downtown Los Angeles, in the southeastern end of the San Fernando Valley. The population at the 2010 census was 103,340.
Billed as the "Media Capital of the World" and only a few miles northeast of Hollywood, numerous media and entertainment companies are headquartered or have significant production facilities in Burbank, including Warner Bros. Entertainment, The Walt Disney Company, Nickelodeon Animation Studios, The Burbank Studios, Cartoon Network Studios with the West Coast branch of Cartoon Network, and Insomniac Games. The Hollywood Burbank Airport was the location of Lockheed's Skunk Works, which produced some of the most secret and technologically advanced airplanes, including the U-2 spy planes that uncovered the Soviet Union missile components in Cuba in October 1962.
Burbank consists of two distinct areas: a downtown/foothill section, in the foothills of the Verdugo Mountains, and the flatland section. The city was referred to as "Beautiful Downtown Burbank" on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In and The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The city was named after David Burbank, a New Hampshire-born dentist and entrepreneur who established a sheep ranch there in 1867.

My friend Jim and his wife lived in Burbank in the 80's, I went to pick him up so we can play golf and we stopped at a McDonalds to grab some breakfast on the go and noticed Bob Hope pulling up in the drive-thru in his Rolls for some coffee. I yelled out "Hi Bob" and he honked his horn and waved back!!

I lived in Burbank and moved to Colorado in the 90s. Loved Burbank. It was very nice and it’s nice to see that it still is.

I lived 40 years in Burbank off of Burbank Blvd just 2 blocks west of Victory. I move to South O.C. in 2005. How things have changed in Burbank, Great video that brought back great memories. Thank you.

I was raised there and lived there until 19 months ago. I'm now on the opposite side of the country. You kept driving in circles. I was hoping you'd go by my old stomping grounds at Buena Vista and Olive.

In 1981 and '82 I worked at a small film.production firm on Cahuenga Blvd. across from Universal Studios. Enjoyed going to Burbank many times to attend The Tonight Show & Midnight Special tapings @ NBC on West Alemeda Blvd.Friendly atmosphere @ bars and restaurants near NBC. Santa Monica was my residence, yet I spent a lot of time in media district of Burbank.

Burbank has Two downtowns, this one along the 5 fwy and the other one along the 134 fwy, where the Movie studios and office buildings are located.

I live on Sand Mountain in Northern Alabama and I feed the Sasquatches raw chicken raisins rye bread fig bars buttermilk pancakes and eggs and milk and bread and Rocky Road ice cream and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy 😋🍗 and raisins and black beans and rice 🍚🌾 corn🌽 pong and yes 😁 Sasquatches drink moonshine and boogie to disco all 🌃 night and leave big piles of 💩

Although Burbank is geographically within the confines of Los Angeles, it has a different feel than anywhere else in Los Angeles. Some streets are reminiscent of many typical American cities. There are very few "tract" housing developments, and the neighborhoods are generally very pleasant with custom-built homes, and very clean streets. It has a very diverse demographic, but I wouldn't want to live there. It doesn't have much soul goin' on, it's a bit too sanitized for my taste.

Everyone is something nice, but they forget the ugly part of Los Angeles. Which is where so many people live that they don't even have anything to eat and that the street has a camp.

@@adg7147 Yeah, and the state has more debt than some countries, so you can't even pay for your own food stamps...and businesses are leaving in droves...not sustainable for much longer. And it's a shame because it's a beautiful state.

@@Gamble661 Wtf are you talking about, we have more debt than some countries because our gdp is higher than some countries. We have a relatively good gdp to debt ratio. Also pay for our own food stamps? Wtf? We have so many food assistance programs here that goes beyond just ebt/food stamps. We also take less in federal aid than we put it.
