The video shows traveling and freight train ride from Beograd to Kraljevo (West and Central Serbia). Freight train ride was realized by two locomotives of private rail operator "Despotija d.o.o.". It was an empty freight train with wagons for transporting bulk cargo and stone aggregate.
Two locomotive train traction takes place on the demanding and difficult hill and mountain sections of the Belgrade - Bar railway line, between Valjevo and Kosjerić. One of the locomotives stays in Požega and further train traction is achieved by one locomotive. The locomotives used to pull the train are 441-414 (four-axle ASEA electric locomotive) and 461-105 (six-axle LE 5100, Electroputere, Craiova, Romania). It was empty freight train of less than 600 tons and train ride from Belgrade was started by a four-axle locomotive, with the second locomotive which was switched off. The total train mass pulled by the first locomotive was around 700t. When the ride along the Valjevo mountains started, at the maximum slope of about 16‰, poor adhesion conditions appeared. Under such conditions, one locomotive was not enough for train traction and the second locomotive was started. It was a double locomotive train traction during passing the most critical section on the line and further traction was continued with one locomotive again.
In some of the previous videos, the ride along the famous Belgrade - Bar railway line was already shown. In this video there is an overlap in the section between Beograd and Požega, but the rest of the ride shows the line Požega - Čačak - Kraljevo - Stalać, at section from Požega to Kraljevo. On that section, the railway line passes through the famous Ovčarsko-Kablarska gorge, as a particularly interesting natural entity. There the train passes through 10 tunnels and over several large bridges over the Zapadna Morava river.
On the whole journey from Belgrade to Požega and further to Kraljevo train passes several hill and mountain passes, canyons and gorges, through almost 60 rail tunnels and over dozens of rail concrete and steel bridges. The beautiful natural and scenery surroundings on this trip make a pleasure to travel and watch the whole ride by this freight train.
