The village of Bo Sang, also known as 'Umbrella Village' is located about 9km from the old town of Chiang Mai. On some websites, you can also find the spelling 'Bor Sang'.
In this video, we show you the art of handmade umbrella-making from bamboo and Sa paper.
This local craft is unique to Chiang Mai and is the ideal place to see first-hand how these umbrellas are made and painted with their distinctive floral patterns.
