For more Speed you can enable Adaptive Sampling with a Threshold of like 0.00001 and also only use the GPU at that tilesize. in your timelapse the gpu was waiting for teh cpu buckets. :) this may vary withs cene & tilesize.

@PonteRyuurui4 жыл бұрын
No, you do not use the denoising via view layer, because you asre using denoiser via compositor. That is the whole point. The denoising will be done at the end of your render unlike it happens when you use denoisng via view layer, which denoises tiles as it goes.

I tested your setup and got amazing results from the node setup. My setup: GTX970 and a ES-2630L CPU overclocked to 2,7Ghz on all cores. I tested tile sizes from 16x16 all the way to 1152x1152 and the crazy thing was that I got the best result from 1120x1120 on GPU only. I had to uncheck CPU in cuda. The difference in render time from GPU only to Hybrid was only 0,1sec (33,34 and 33,41)but it was on a 1K image. I suspect that on a 4K the difference will be higher. With the node setup I went from 100 samples to 10 with almost no difference other then on water reflection. But still minimal difference.render time 7,32sec.

But why 16 bit tiff if 32 bit EXR is also available?
@PonteRyuurui4 жыл бұрын
grab the 32 bit exr and then bring it to photoshop and then try to save it as a jpg (after editing it) for posting on your folio. It will mess up all the edit. I postprocess all my renders, and TIFFs are the closest thing for me that comes to a RAW file, wihtout the EXR headache. On your settings - Light Path - Clamping - Direct Light 0 Indirect Light 10. Why these settings? Also Sampling - Advanced do you have square samples on or off? What about min light bounces are they at 0? Its got to be square samples off surely else would take a day to render. cheers

LP clamping is at default values, so 0 for direct and 10 for indirect. Yes, square sampling is off. All these settins are at default, they come with blender.
