Brave, bravissime ragazze♥
I see most of this team is the 113th Class including DM Pimo. I see and hear some mistakes, but, it was good of this part of the competition to include this B Team for the experience. When they performed again the next year, they won GOLD. Great job at the time. " Those that never try, never fail". Thank you for videoing this and sharing. Good to see how hard they worked at being Tachibana. Tachibana Tension!!

DM Pimo is not playing in this performance, she was part of the main group who won the Silver award that year.
they might be few in numbers ... but still so great :)

I’m always amazed by these young people. Even more amazed this is the second unit performing in the competition.

113期のみでの演奏ですかね。なんかとても初々しくて頬ゆるみます。

I'm not complaining, just wondering out loud: the size of the band is exceptionally small in this show. 4 percussionists, two clarinets, one tuba? Usually the clarinet section alone is good for 20 students. Obviously they were under some sort of head count constraints, but why?

This was the B category team. B category does not move on to the next Competion. Strictly for experience. This was the only year KT entered Two Bands

@@jameshorn270 And that is why they were on the "B" team" The AJMC limits the number of participants per team to 86, so the remainder made up the 'B" team.

I wonder how they choose the B team, like we're they 1st and 2nd year only, the "less" player only, or other things. I recognized the clarinet player, wasn't she the tall clarinetist of 116th? And the percussionists didn't actively participate in sing sing sing, I guess they only have 1 set of the heavy drum set

Not many members back then! Is that (future) DM Ron playing trumpet??
This is their second team, Team B. Its for experience, no matter the score, team B cannot advance to the next stage. I guess it gives a chance for band members who were not chosen for Team A to participate and gain competition experience. It helps the first and second year students.

And if you look closely at the trumpets, you'll see Reena, the trumpet player who next year as a 2nd grader was the soloist at the National Championship team. Shows how tough it is to make the cut. ..Joe
