The city of Dumaguete, Philippines, is known as the "city of gentle people" and is a popular destination for retirees from other countries. Forbes Magazine ranked it as the fifth best place to retire in the world out of seven options in 2014.
Dumaguete City may be relatively small, but it provides all of the essentials, from hospitals and malls to an abundance of outdoor activities, all without having to travel far from the city center.

Been to Silliman U and the Boulevard, but have not really explored the city. I may never get to explore this place but thanks to you I got to see a good part of it. I can see why foreigners love the place. It's bustling with people and activity and yet not too big to have trouble spots. There's just enough entertainment, and one can easily get to other attractions like Siquijor or Red Rock Springs, and far enough from Canlaon volcano. It's actually a very nice place. Of course it would also have its fair share of ill-mannered individuals but that's another story. Thanks for this video.

shout out to the government its time to proposed the law that all wires pertaining to telecommunication and electricity should be buried underground, it is a sore eyes, poses danger and hazard to tourist and individual in pedestrian also the tricycle should be replace to single model, one color and eco friendly, discourage all open pipe muffler that create noise and smoke pollution to maintain clean and green and the beautiful natural landscape of the city....

Dumaguete city is not that colorful and beautiful to me, the city government has to start beautifying and putting colors to downtown Dumaguete. The sidewalks are full of parked motorcycles and so many other things. Electric wires are hanging everywhere, not good for view. Buildings are dilapidated, needs to be repainted. It is clean though which is very good.
