Pismo Beach is a city in the southern portion of San Luis Obispo County, in the Central Coast area of California, United States. The estimated population was 8,213 in 2018, up from 7,655 in the 2010 census. It is part of the Five Cities Area, a cluster of cities in that area of San Luis Obispo County. The "Five Cities" area historically is made up of Arroyo Grande, Grover City (now Grover Beach), Halcyon, Fair Oaks and Nipomo. Now most people refer to the Five Cities as Grover Beach, Pismo Beach, Shell Beach (actually a part of Pismo Beach), Arroyo Grande and Oceano (which is unincorporated county land serviced by the Oceano Community Services District).
Santa Maria is a city near the Central Coast of California in northern Santa Barbara County. It is approximately 65 miles (105 km) northwest of Santa Barbara and 150 miles (240 km) northwest of downtown Los Angeles. Its estimated 2019 population was 107,263, making it the most populous city in the county and the Santa Maria-Santa Barbara, CA Metro Area. The city is notable for its wine industry and Santa Maria-style barbecue. Sunset magazine called Santa Maria "The West's Best BBQ Town". According to a 1994 article in the Santa Maria Times, Santa Maria's official mascots are the Two Toes, alien creatures from the planet Plu-Toe who have come to Earth to remind kids to "Work Toe-gether for a Better Toe-morrow".

Kinda tedious and redundant, with erratic editing at the start. Although I make this drive at least once a week, in one direction or the other, good continuity would definitely make this vid better, especially for out of towners looking for a virtual tour. Just my opinion, from Nipomo.

Just like any city with affordable housing, crime will come. Luckily it stays down in Santa Maria. Pismo/slo/Grover Beach/AG is extremely expensive. Not all poor people are criminals but all criminals are poor people.
