Matsudo has this typical Chiba vibe where the city itself is quite urban and Tokyo-suburban like with good infrastructure, but then you have these "gaps", where you just have some fields and private farms. And sometimes in between you catch a glimpse of a cool preserved old traditional Japanese building 😎

JUST FOR INFORMATIVE PURPOSES - Hondoji Temple is about a 10-minute walk from JR Kita-Kogane Station. You'll enjoy the quiet approach. Together with Choeisan Honmonji Temple in Ikegami and Chokosan Myohonji Temple in Kamakura, Chokokusan Hondoji is one of the main temples of the Nichiren sect, being where the priests Nichizo and Nichirin were born. It was established in 1277. There are more than 50,000 Japanese hydrangeas on the grounds, surpassing Kamakura. Hondoji, also known as the “hydrangea temple,” is a famous spot for cherry blossoms in the spring, irises in the rainy season, and about 1,500 maples in the fall. It is about 40 minutes from Ueno Station in Tokyo. Exit the ticket gate at Kita-Kogane Station on the JR Joban Line and cross the pedestrian bridge.

First the busy city center, and in no time calm suburban atmosphere - interesting to compare! Pity, you couldn't fly - nice clouds, first city lights, but we enjoyed the walk anyway 🤗💙 ! BTW, a cat running to hide into bamboo forest - so exotic 😀😹 !!!

Perhaps somebody can help me on something I've noticed watching these videos, and when I was there - on some roofs there are like offset little extra protruding tiles for some reason. The street right after the Harley-Davidson shop has several of these roofs. A good example at 28:59 on the pink roof. Does this serve a purpose (perhaps to do with snow?), or merely a design choice? I love it, either way... thank you
@randomnickify2 жыл бұрын
They are meant to stop the snow from falling from the roof uncontrolably since it could kill/injure someone.

I have mentioned in past videos, that when I finally get to Japan, I am unlikely to visit the areas explored by Rambalac, mostly due to the fact of Rambalacs efforts I feel I have been to the area with in the video.. However. There are times I want to go to any given specific point along any of Rambalacs walks and say "Rambalac was here, at this point". There should be something - like a small discreet sign about the size of the hand of a child - saying "Rambalac stopped here for tea" or "Ramabalc showed the world an adorable cat here" or "Ramabalc stopped to enjoy the sakura here". A Rambalac Walk of Fame, as it were.
