I remember when I was young I got to blow the whistle of the train and also see a old shay locomotive in the closed engines sheds after returning from a asthma attack.

waterfallmadman Thanks for your nice comments , yes last year when we were in Banff we could smell and see the smoke in the skies , we were so sad also being there for 13 days and not able to go and see places like Sunshine Meadow because not being able to see the mountains .Then Fernie we could see the Helicopters going in the morning and coming back late afternoon to extinguish the fires . And then in the Glacier National Park Montana ...it was completely close we were very ...very sad 😢 about not being able to go, but most of all is this nature being altered...but this is the cycle of nature and this is whit out saying about all the people that as to evacuate 😢. This year it’s in Alberta again north west of Edmonton and it’s big ! 😢 My two next video are about traveling from Fernie to West Glacier KOA Resort and then to Virginia City Montana . This Is Our Retirement no only 1080 HD but on my computer I do have it . To look at it in 4 K have to pass by Google Chrome and then KZbin only after that can you see it in 4 k , naturally if you have a 4K TV or a computer screen . This Is Our Retirement i forgot to tell you about the 4 K , it’s only because I have a Mac from Apple that I have to pass by Google Chrome, otherwise I can’t see in 4 K passing directly to KZbin whit my Mac

When we stopped off here we were the only ones here. Early morning and first in. It did not get busy though and some things like the train were not running. The old engine looked and sounded great. I do remember a pastry and coffee on the front of a cafe on the main street. It was the City Bakery which I saw in your movie. Fort Steele was not really on my itinerary but having seen it the previous day as we approached Cranbrook which was our overnight stop, we just had to go back and take a look. Our next couple of nights were in Nelson so we could not spend to long here. (Not very good planning). Was that still smoke from the fires in the air or just a gloomy day? Hope you are both well and have had an enjoyable Easter. Robert & Ivor.

We always discover new places on our journey…so I do understand you …this is why we have to return twice …Lol!🤪😂 We did love our train ride it was so cool ! I love old steam trains 🚂 . The village was also nice to visit . We left from our campground that day to go there it was a good ride also . Yes the smoke you say was from some forest fires 🔥 around , that day I was told by some American’s that was on the train with us that the Glacier National Park in Montana USA which was our next campground stop (KOA near the park) was completely closed because of forest fire 🔥 in the park…🥴🥴🥴 I had 3 days planned there …I had to change my itinerary but decided to keep on night there . So you should see some video eventually of Virginia City and Nevada City …we had spent the nest 2 days there…we were lucky to have a spot at the campground near there . I was so sad not being able to get into that park …😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 so it’s still on my bucket list 🤪 We had a quiet Easter Day …we don’t celebrate this much no more like we used to do when the kids were small . Following The Agee's Thanks for those nice words! Those were also the hard days people were working hard and they didn’t earned much money. They were probably happy? I guess each generation has their good and bad situations ! When I filmed this at first i didn’t know i was gonna make it look as if somebody was filming our train 🚂 it’s only when i started editing. @@SergeCousineau SI j'ai vu mais je n'ai pas cliqué je vais le faire , pour le matériel elle ne le fait que très rarement par contre comme j'ai tendance à perdre souvent mes papiers cela fait trois fois y compris la carte de crédit dont une fois au usa avec le passeport ce qui m'a obligé à passer au consulat de France à Los Angeles pour pouvoir rentrer , donc Nicole me confisque tous mes papiers et la carte de crédit .
