The road from Fernie Alberta Canada to West Glacier KOA Resort Montana USA.
Always with a sky with the smoke of the surrounding fires.
We were suppose to spend three days in Glacier National Parc but the park was completely closed from one end to the other. So we only slept one night and then the next day we headed to Virginia City Montana to spend two days there.

Very pleasant ride south. I can imagine the excitement arriving here. We have not stayed on the west side of the NP but did pass through on Route 2 when the Going to the Sun Road was closed due to snow at the end of the season. That day we went as far as was open both sides of the pass before continuing west to Sandpoint. I remember that being before the days that I was able to book all the motels ahead and we arrived to find Sandpoint pretty full. There was a Shire Horse (cheval de gros trait) festival. We were lucky that very kindly the reception of one motel rang around a few others until he found us a room just south of town. We have subsequently returned to Glacier but only staying on the east side. Hope to rejoin you soon to follow you into the park. Hope you both continue to be well and you are enjoying life. Best wishes. Robert & Ivor.

I have the regret to inform you that the Glacier Park was completely closed 😓😓😓 because of forest fire 🔥 we were so disappointed 🥴🥴🥴 So the park is still on my bucket list for next time …hopefully we will have the chance to see it …fingers crossed cross 🤞 We stayed only one night instead of 3 that we had booked, so we headed to Virginia City and Nevada City for a 2 night stay and by the same time we approached to Yellowstone National Park . So we had less road to make to reach the park eventually. We are doing fine , Hélène saw her orthopedist this week for a routine after a year and she was glad to tell him that she was feeling fine and that she forgets about her knee surgery completely. I have just finished booking our 27 days road trip into Quebec , New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. I was afraid not to find campgrounds for the dates we wanted but finally it went ok . I am still very busy helping Hélène with her cards and I just did my 2 last days of skiing ⛷️ this week . The spring conditions were very nice and we had lunch and a beer with all our skiing friends on Tuesday at the bottom of the hill on a sunny day 🤪 Hope you’re both doing fine so cheers my friends and have a great weekend Thanks for watching my friends 🥰 Serge 😉👍 Hélène et Serge 👩‍❤️‍👨🌈⚜️

Nice Serge. Je vis sur une île. Je pense que c'est si étrange que vous puissiez conduire dans un autre pays. Crazy that you can drive between Canada and the US - for us Australians it is. 😀 Great video.

Thanks for your nice comments I appreciate every time ! We were heading for Virginia City Montana to start of our two months trip in the states after a month in the Canadian Rockies. Glacier National Park was closed 😢and we were suppose to stay 3 days there ...so sad 😔 We love our camping trailer , and it’s a 19 foot , a bit on the limits of my Ford Escape which limits is 3500 . But it did the job nicely, 21600 km total trip , made 13000 only whit the trailer so 8700 visiting whit the car 🚗. Here is a link to see our trailer inside kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5y4gmmOoL-smrM Brought back 4.25 TO of raw footage and started editing in last December (Were back since 14 October) so I have only done 1/3 of editing since. So if you follow us you will be seeing the rest of the trip as I edit Thanks again and see you on the next one ! Hélène and Serge 💑 👍😉🎥🏔

Nous étions très déçus de ne pouvoir rester à cette endroit à cause de la fermeture complet du Glacier National Park .Causé par des feux de forêts 😢nous devions rester trois jours ...quel dommage ! We were very disappointed that we could not stay at this place because of the complete closure of Glacier National Park. Caused by forest fires 😢 we were suppose to stay three days ... what a shame!
