As someone who has a passion for both R/C flying and real world flying, and as an instrument rated pilot, I am both soothed at the beautiful footage yet slightly discomforted at the thought of slamming into an FPV plane😅 either way, the guy seems to know what he’s doing and not causing any undue harm. This kind of stuff was my dream when I was young and FPV was new. It seems so accessible now but the laws pretty much make it impossible. Understandably, but still, it’s just so beautiful

I got obsessed with the beauty of the countryside from your drone and spent an hour finding where this was. I guessed Black Sea based on your other videos and the Caucasus in the distance. I went on Google Earth and traced the coastline until I saw the peninsula from the video which looks like the port city of Batumi. I just moved Google Earth around until the view matched. Kobuleti, Georgia near the Bobokvati Mosque. Amazing video. Thank you!

I have always loved flying model aircraft but this video you created with your setup is what got me into fixed wing FPV. Now running the AtomRC Dolphin on 4S 2200mah 3P LiPo, ELRS 915mhz for long range and man this plane does wonders! DJI 03 Air Unit Foxeer lollipop 4+ lhcp omni antenna Goggles 2 TrueRC X-Air mark2 lhcp patch antenna easily achieves 10km+ range and top speeds of 140km/h+. I do love how you included the 6S setup in the build for when you want to go really fast! Worth every penny and would build another one! Thank you.

How do you try to fly ‘away from the possible appearance of other aircraft’? Just curious as you are so far away and at such altitude you would have very little spatial awareness unless you are running some ADS-B receiver or similar? Otherwise you would have no clue if an IFR aircraft would come through the clouds into you surely?

@@artayek1517 In the USA we are limited to 120 meters unless next to a mountain or building. We can not fly over people unless there are prop guards. Then there is the line of sight rule which means we have to see it with our own eyes without the aid of a telescope. We are so restricted here but there are still vast empty lands away from every city.

Stay out of restricted airspace and check local air traffic before flights. If you happen to hear a plane or helicopter safely drop altitude to stay below their minimums.

Beautiful footage. You know, if the conditions are right you can actually ridge soar the windward edge of the clouds and save some power, extending your flight time a little, I’ve ridge soared up the side of clouds with my paraglider, it’s pretty amazing, it’s almost like a giant mountain in the air and the wind blows up and over them creating lift.

Great video! The views of the clouds and the landscape from the air captured my heart since I was kid on my first plane flight. I am putting my engineering classes to good use designing my own twin engine plane I hope to take up into the clouds! i love that dive, i often do that with my L.R 7in drone i go up to around 1200 ft. [about 375m? i think] and i just cut the throttle while looking str8 down untill im right up on the ground its fun, lol...

I suppose as long as you have a VO to ensure that no craft enter the AO, you'll be fine, but man would it suck to cause somebody to crash because you were flying in clouds.

I'll assume you filled in all the paperwork required to exceed the normal legal altitude limit. The footage is mesmerising. Does the Dolphin have much issue with turbulence at that height? The wide angle of the lens must no doubt make the aircraft appear to be higher then it really is, and the clouds being that low around the natural features must limit the area to General Aviation.

There is doesn't have general aviation. i have issue with turbulense once before huge sea storm, but just shake a lot. Usually dolphin flyes good
