This video requires a bit of an explanation. You may notice once we depart Vancouver, that the image clarity/quality is not quite to the level that my video’s are normally at. This is an old classic aircraft. Over three decades old at this point, and unfortunately, the window had hundreds of very small micro scratches all over it. You can’t see them until the lighting is just right. And unfortunately, the lighting was just right to see them for most of the cruise portion of this flight. So, after departure the image quality is very soft and even has some doubled edges. I did the best I could to sharpen it and save it, but there is only so much I could do. For a normal flight I probably would’ve just scrapped the whole thing, but this aircraft is too unique and rare to waste this footage. I hope you can still enjoy this very cool flight!

New Pacific no longer operates scheduled commercial flights, so it's not possible to fly them any longer.

It just occurred to me that although I have been watching your videos for years (they are excellent), I have never thought to subscribe to your channel so I can get notifications. I just fixed that problem by becoming a subscriber. 😉

Hey Traveler, It would be cool to run the route map all the way up to Inuvik, run the triangle, back down to Whitehorse then across to Yellow Knife, and down to the East Coast. It would be like the Milk Run in Alaska I guess. Jasper National Park and the town got decimated over the weekend by wildfires.

Definitely something on my bucket list, for sure.

Wow, your luck to fly on a classic 737. Do you remember when southwest had both 737-300s and 737-500 plus some of the 300s had winglets and some didn’t. My number one favorite aircraft on southwest was the 737-300 without winglets. There is just that nostalgic feeling on flying on an airplane with a bare wing. Those were very good times back then. Sometimes old fashioned is way better than new fashioned

I do remeber those days. Flew on them and the 200’s many times. Too bad iPhones weren’t around back then 😂

Great fly! Have you heard United Airlines flight from Houston to Boston was forced to divert in Washington DC after crew members was throwing up?

I did. It was apparently quite the deal.

That was a great flight! Just asking, is Air North a good airline? thanks!
@sla314 ай бұрын
I enjoyed flying on them. I've only taken the two flights, so I don't have a very big sample size, but they were friendly and the flights were on time.

Since you went on a 737 Classic, 737 MAX and 737 NG, Now we need a 737 OG now. Then you will complete all the variants of 737 Family!

Yeah, at least as far the channel is concerned. I have flown on OG 737's, but it was before the channel so I don't have any film of it. Thanks for watching my friend!

Dang that interior is old. You are lucky you got to fly on a 737-500 they are almost all gone!
@sla314 ай бұрын
Yup, not many left still flying at this point. Unfortunately, the window had definitely seen 30+ years of service too as it was covered in scratches haha.

Did i hear 5 bells about midway through the descent? What was that all about?
@sla313 ай бұрын
No idea. There was nothing abnormal about this flight from start to finish, so your guess is as good as mine. Air North did seem to use that more frequently than other airlines I've flown.
