Wow, lots of history in this video. Love the Sanonmaru square and it's view of the beautiful castle and ethereal Cherry Blossoms. What a a lovely historical place.

Brings back memories. Seeing the Himeji castle the first time upon exiting the train station was so cool. I remember thinking this is the most ancient building I have ever seen. The stairways to the top of the castle are so narrow. You cannot wear shoes when in the castle to protect the floors. I cherish my tea cup and sake set I got at the castle's souvenir shop. The cashier's daughter was maybe 6 years old and counted the money and gave back change. This is a great place to visit. The street food near the castle is amazing. Had takoyaki and fried eel for first time.

I'm glad you had a good time in Himeji. There is a best takoyaki stop near Himeji station locals don't mind to waiting in line for. Next time I shoot a video, I'd like to film it. Thank you so much for watching! 😄

You should post the address of the takoyaki shop so travelers can visit. Thanks for the video!

I spent a day in Himeji in 2019. It is a lovely little city. I also remember seeing an express Shinkansen train go through Himeji station at 300km a couple of metres away from me while I was waiting. An unforgettable sight.

I agree Shinkansen passing through Himeji station is really something worth to look at. Next time I go to Himeji, I'd like to film it. Thank you so much for watching! 😄

Woah the market in Otamae Park looked so good! Also, you can't argue about the fact that the city did a great job to offer a view of the castle from the train station 😁

Yeah, the city had to create the best view because this is the very first World Heritage in Japan!

Are there other famous flowers in Japan? Great video.
@VSV_Japan2 жыл бұрын
Yes, of course. But cherry blossoms are special to us. They are the symbol of "departure and new encounter". Because that's what March and April mean to us.

Thank you for this awesome video! This is April 3rd, were the cherry blossoms in full bloom already? How long will they stay that beautiful?
@VSV_Japan2 жыл бұрын
In Himeji, normally cherry blossoms become in full bloom in the first week of April and they last for a week. Thank you so much for watching! 😄
