I live in the Chicagoland area and it's always a treat to have the planes landing on any of the 27 runways when I'm driving down the tri-state tollway. From what I can tell the planes are landing on one of the 9 runways??? but whatever one it's on this was a great capture of all these huge planes!

Every once in a while I'll catch a go around while plane spotting at O'hare. I think it's cool to watch, and then I'll time them to see how long it takes for them to come around again.

i used to live 30 to 50 minutes from chicago airport and the heavy plane runeways were the direction i lived so every 5 minutes i hear either a 747,767,787 or a 777 taking-off its extremy buisy it takes 30 minutes of taxing to the nearest runway witch is like a 5 minute slow run :) :P

Nice one! Since I’ve asked you already about the east side for spotting locations, how good is the warehouse parking lot on York Road? Is that location viable?

It's a good spot. I park there, or I go a touch farther west, there is a warehouse parking lot where Thomas Dr. turns into Eagle Dr. I like that location because you can see them coming in on final for miles. Sometimes I have up to 5 aircraft in my binocular sights.

But, at this position we don't get to see the touchdown; the tire smoke, the bounces, maybe the go around, the crosswind fights.

Can't really do much better at O'Hare, there are zero spots besides ones with special access needed that offer a view of touchdowns.

Nalik L Lomited depends most airliners fly no more than 25,000 to 40,000 if I’m not mistaken how ever the sr-71 flew to 73,000 feet I believe and then obviously the space shuttle flew into space lol but the reason airliners don’t fly higher is because of the atmosphere and the air gets thicker and colder
