Midway is so awesome! If you’re ever in that neighborhood of Chicago the planes get so low to the buildings it’s crazy!

Oh sure ORD has all the flashy heavies but Midway is just as exciting. Great footage Spotter!

Thank you Cheryl! You are absolutely right, Midway is amazing too!

Love the way the planes line up and immediately begin their take off roll. If you’re a chicken like me, less time to dread that part of the flight.

Lovely livery on the first Southwest!

After flying it for 23 years, Southwest replaced the old Arizona One livery plane with this new one (N955WN) in February 2018.

Worked for TW at MDW between 1969/1970. TW handled a single DL DC-9 ex MSY/MEM/STL/MDW flight in addition to our own flights to MKC/CMH/DAY. Miss this iconic airport. Retired and living in BHQ in Australia.

I'm sure with a 737 landing at Midway That's got to be like landing on an aircraft carrier
@mji712 жыл бұрын
Great analogy and it sure feels that way on a 737!

2:53 That looks like a 737 MAX
@ahuehuete47035 жыл бұрын
I was wrong. It's an older one that was retrofitted with the split winglets.
@michaelcampbell68204 жыл бұрын
@@ahuehuete4703 there are 3 easy ways to tell them apart, 1)the NG's with the split scimitar winglets are two pieces on each wing, with the lower part looking a bit like it was "stuck on" whereas the MAX winglets are more of an integrated single piece. 2) The APU exhaust on the MAX is a cone shape, almost like a stinger compared to the taller shape of the NGs and 3) The trailing edge of the engine nacelle on the MAX is scalloped, the NG's is smooth.
