A couple of things: - Dishwashers use less water than hand washing, hands down. Only 16 L or so. It looks like more than that, but that's because most of the water is reused throughout the cycle. - This dishwasher wasn't properly loaded, and not only that, but he didn't put dish detergent in the pre-wash section that most dishwashers have. Those two things make a world of difference compared to what you see here. - It may take a long time, but remember, these are meant to be filled up, he only had a few dishes in there for demonstration purposes. - What is the point of commenting that we should all go back to hand washing dishes, anyway? Should we also wash clothes at the river again? Write letters instead of emailing or texting? Comments like that just don't make sense to me.

The efficiency towards a subject can always be determined by ones personal circumstances but to say hand washing is definitely over all better than dish washing is more of a better conclusive statement, nobody is saying we should go back to the old times and do those things but to be fair hand washing clothes actually is better than a washing machine and the same goes for the other, nothing beats a hand to clean up the gunk that a machine cant do, but im not saying we should all go back towards that times

I never believed in using a dishwasher my entire life. I am now 68. I found out a dishwasher uses way less water than doing dishes in a sink. I started using our KENMORE dishwasher just about 2 months ago. My monthly water bill has shrunk down by 30% already. We use the dishwasher once a day in the evening. That Kenmore was brand new in 2016. Just now getting used. It cleans dishes like nothing I've ever seen.

No it's not waste of water it recycles the water inside and if you put detergent it kills the bacteria and water is usualy hotter than this. in this video it's in rinse mode so we can see the dishes and the water is cold they used no detergent. For people saying the dishes aren't clean, the dishwasher is on a pre-rinse cycle, which is why it's done in 8 mins. Also if he had used a normal cycle the hot water would immediately steam up the camera and we wouldn't see anything xo
