This is such a phenomenal cover by Keembo! I really really love them all since their SPICA days. Their cover makes me miss the SPICA OT5 tbh. Also suggestion @Mdromeda. Maybe you can do a program in their youtube channel where you invite disbanded or inactive groups to do band live covers? (Perhaps, you can invite SPICA and other groups in the future?)

Spica kids...look 'em up if you don't know (from '12 to '16). Boa & Bohyung were two of the five talented ladies in that group. Boa was a vocal trainer for many groups prior to Spica. And, of course, listen to all of the KEEMBO songs. They are special & different from "the usual".

Nailed it. As I tell people about girl group vocalist, no one can touch Mamamoo. The ONLY group that could with relative ease (sadly disbanded) is Spica. Period. Here we only have 2 out of the squad singing. Vocals for days. Keembo.

@@TVK37 : Actually there is one that can touch Mamamoo, it is Brown Eyed Girls they debuted in 2006, vocal wise they are totally amazing (before Spica Bohyung, I think BEG hit that famous wistle head voice, check out their song Sixth Sense, dance great, style perfectly unique, for rapper - Miryo is famous for underground rapper with Kang Gary, before debut in BEG. Song wise, Jea is famous for writing lyrics. The problem is age. So they currently not active).

@@sorasama I got deep into K-Pop in 2013 and heard "You Don't Love Me" on a local show that played MV in 2014. I heard that opening and just said "who is that?"...I had to know who they were (lol). 2019 was an interesting year to find them. There was the surprise one off reunion on the TV show (with the two songs that are your favs) - highly emotional...Bohyung doing solo performances thru the year...the show in June where Boa joins her for two songs...then a couple of Karaoke performances that came up at the end of the year (one of them is gone now I think the other is still on YT). So you knew something was up with these two. I don't know if you've seen them or not but the K-Con LA performance (2014) is electric (there's the "official" performance which excludes three songs and some fan cams that have it all)..."You Don't Love Me" from K-Con in Abu Dhabi (2016) is amazing (different vocal arrangement)...even the very last performance of the group (early 2017) is on YT...and there are multiple videos of Bohyung singing all of "Tonight" by herself (changing her voice for each part)...if you haven't seen any of them go look, they're all up here on YT (sorry, I'm a total fan boy and a musician and I just love the way these ladies sing).

I really wished that they had the same success as mamamoo is currently enjoying. They were the original vocal idols. Maybe bad management or them not just being interesting made them fade in the back but I really wished they stuck around as a group.

Bad management? Yes. They were also older than standard idols at the time and did not fit the mold...that's where bad management comes it...they kept trying to put them in "the box" when they should have been more open minded.

Actually they were on the vocal based show a lot like immortal songs, etc. They also filmed a reality show with lee hyori. I think one of the reason is probably the competition at that time, i mean there were many younger groups from big 3, and perhaps bcs their lack of variety skills. Usually a group has one member who's good in variety show, like in mamamoo they have hwasa, and basically each of then are kinda hyper but spica didnt really have one.

@@jengkolgoreng4735 Good comments. No matter who it was from the group they all did pretty well on those shows (as I recall). You would think that would, or should, not be a negative. Not living in Korea I've only seen parts of the show with Lee Hyori, tho' that seemed to coincide with their two biggest songs - not an accident or coincidence, talent combined with exposure and promotion. And they all but disappeared for two years as well, that did not help at all. The thing is, for me, because of (what I call) the Idol Box, the power of the group as whole was not appreciated (and probably not understood). I do get what you are saying tho' about one person being the focus. We can go all the way back to The Supremes where Diana Ross (who was not the best singer in the trio by a long shot) became the focal point, and more recently with Destiny's Child where Beyonce became the focal point. It is part of the "game", like it or not. I suppose Spica's management could have exploited/promoted Boa & Bohyung as the up front focus (when you watch the performance of "You Don't Love Me" from K-Con in Abu Dhabi in '16 you can see what it could be), but they did not. What we don't know - and I've never heard any of the ladies discuss it - is how they felt about it. Maybe they just wanted to be in a group (considering they all had to wait/had been passed over) and just sing and were happy about that. Looking back at their catalog I would put any Spica song up against any of songs from their "competition" then and I know they were as good as or better - in all cases. I'd even put them up against any of the current groups and come away with the same conclusion. After the fact. after the moment (and the likes of "Russian Roulette", "Painkiller" & "Tonight" are 7-9 years in the rear view mirror now), after the competition for sales, etc. are over you just have the songs...they were that good, that is unquestionable (for me anyway).
