That must have been so sad for Daniel Powter when he walked on stage and absolutely no one recognized him even when he said his name, like he had a hit that was played EVERYWHERE, ALL THE TIME for MONTHS but no one knew who we was until he started singing 😭

Bad Day by Daniel Powter…Talk about one of the most relatable songs that someone can connect with. I love how Howie says if it’s top 40 material people will love it. Well it reached number one…so yeah I’d say people loved it. Caught lightning in a bottle with that record. I first heard the song in 2006, it’s been years since I heard it, and still knew every word.

First of all, may I say that I am a very old man (almost 90 in fact), and the days are long gone when I got emotional at singers. Today however, I am sitting at my PC with unashamed tears running down my face. This is without doubt a very moving and beautiful song, But Loren Allred simply sang this epic number and that was it, she just blew it away! and made it forever HER song. What a voice. What an emotional experience, from one of the most stunningly Beautiful young ladies I have ever seen. Here here. I lost my wife of 42 years 111 days ago. She loved you Loren!!! Her favorite song of all time sung by her favorite artist. She educated me on Loren Allred and I am forever grateful. We listened to this song 50+ time in July before she passed from cancer. God Bless you Loren.

In 2005 the father of my four children passed away. My youngest was 10 and she had a really rough time. That Christmas we decided to go visit my mother 1500 miles away two days by car and stay for about a week. On the way there this song played every hour. And we got to the point where we didn’t even click off of it we just went ahead and sang it together. It’s a memory I will always cherish I don’t know if she feels as fondly for it as I do but I will always remember.

Never heard of the first guy until now but love his voice. Loved Loren's audition which in this particular video didn't sound remastered like some others I've watched. Haven't seen Sheldon in a long time. He looks a bit different from what I remember and his voice has matured. He sounds even more amazing now than he did when I first heard him. He definitely has the makings of a superstar. As does Loren.
