I was not as close to the summit, due to the party with me. Something happened on that trip that made me feel like I didn't deserve the summit anyways. Been to the top of Cheam 7 times, including in winter with a broken finger. Those upper meadows would have been more enduring if they were rock.

Man the trail to Cheam is usually busy, you must have gone early or just got lucky. Lady peak must be overlooked.

Yes I went early and that’s why I saw that bear. Once he saw me and ran, never saw him again. Nobody on Lady peak but once back on the cheam main trail, lots of people and parking was full. Thanks for watching.

when i went to lady peak very early in the season many years ago there was only one stretch which was somewhat dodgy that being a bit of a traverse across the west facing slope still pasted with snow and ice before ascending higher upwards towards summit, slow steady calculated moves got me past it without to much issue, standing on the promontory visible overlooking jones lake is quite something, as for the upper portion it is blocky with some weaving up and around but no big deal exposure wise, i have done much worse, lol, keep up the good work.

Yes it’s a scramble alright. But not a hard scramble, for sure there is far worse.

@@silencenhikes6692 Thanks for the love, lol, from where you got to the summit only took about half an hour if that and it was not to bad, looks worse than it actually is, path of least resistance worked for me, keep on trekking my friend as much as you possibly can, the memories will last a lifetime, all the best.
