I took a walk this evening to see a sunset. It was beautiful. I sat and watched it slowly change over time as the sunlight changed angles, till only darkness was left. Behind, to the east, the nearly full moon was rising in blue and pink-tinted clouds; with the moon appearing and disappearing between bars of cloud. Walking back home, I was thinking of your video, and the concept of mono no aware. This is the reality of life; of our lives; but not always are we present and aware of it. Thanks again for your wonderful video.
I love these videos focused on a specific concept of beauty or design principles. They are really helpful to appreciate Japanese art and culture. Thanks!

Thank you for the education in truth through your beautiful and contemplative videos. I really appreciate this. It makes one slowdown and gives one a higher point of view. It helps one get through each day being detached from the material world and realizing that it is the spiritual soul that goes on and endures.

i cant put into words how amazing this is. it is like a way of understanding philosophy through aesthetics, not through scriptures. it goes deep and is understood even without being understood. thank you.

BEAUTIFUL!!! I just LOVE your videos. One can think very deeply or simply watch the video of beautiful and serene places. I think the most dramatic impact are the poetic sayings and watching the beautiful scenery. I have ordered the English translated book of Motoori Norinaga. You have motivated me to THINK. Thank you.

What a wonderful video, thank you very much! It put me in a dream-like state of deep relaxation and at the same time a high level of attention. As I lingered in your gardens, I completely forgot that there was this other noisy world. The suddenly screaming commercial at the end of the video almost knocked me out of my chair, lol.

Thank you for these loving portrayals of the beauty in those moments. I was struck by the effect of the shoji in 7:23 and the fleeting moment with the flower before somebody arrives in 8:14. They reminds us to seek beauty in each moment.
Your gardens, music and words really bring meaning to these concepts❤️🙏😊

I often watch videos of abandoned houses & villages in the Japanese mountains & always fell a sadness for those people who had to leave for various reasons, much like the drop of water at 1:29. The snow at 4:44 is beautiful & soon melts... & 6:45 ❤️ もののあはれ 日本 😊

Early, before the sun had risen over the eastern skyline, I took a chilly walk. As I did, I kept noticing signs of mono no aware everywhere I looked. A tree, that had been declining for years, had dropped a large limb right across the path I was walking on. At one time the tree had been strong and healthy, but no more. I was reminded of my own fragility; that I could have been passing under that very tree when the limb had fallen. I would have been either injured, or dead. Again, that sense of mono no aware came to me very strongly. The autumn leaves scattered spots of red, like blood, across the fading grass under my feet. They would fade, too, and become soil in due time; enriching life out of their birth and death. Again---mono no aware. Sadness, but beauty, too. Impermanence. There, and then gone. I felt wistful, perhaps a little sad, but it was tinged with beauty; and the fact that I was there witnessing this. Thanks again for you wonderful videos.
