4K MTB Micro Climate on Blackcomb Mtn! (Insta360 X3 1st Ride)

I just bought the Insta360 X3 action camera and decided I want to try to record some MTB videos with it considering I ride my bike ALL the time! Yesterday was my first day of testing, I recorded this ride and edited it all in one day in hopes to have my first MTB vid upload in 4K 60FPS. It took hours of messing with settings, learning the editing programs, learning the in's and out's of exporting huge file sizes- and learning how the camera works as well! Any feedback or tips help a ton! Hope ya enjoy :)
A few things I learned as a first time user:
- Wind Covers are ESSENTIAL! I'm sorry in advance for the first few videos having terrible wind noise, in my next I will try to caption the whole thing (even though I'm saying nothing important usually)
- My settings were slightly off for the flashy light conditions, I was told to swap to 0EV and isolated exposure so I'll do that before my next ride (thx VanCan!)
- Reframing took some time to get used to so again the first few videos will have funny angles and cuts where I had to fix my framing issues. I was tipped to use just 1 keyframe and directional lock for MTB, but most of these first videos were before I knew that so there is constant keyframing. Shouldn't be an issue but it would have saved me some time!
- The 4K 60fps file sizes are MASSIVE. And take a long time to export / upload. This video file was 15.6gb - and I had to buy a special codec to preview on my computer.
- DaVinci Resolve is hard AF to use and if I wasn't poor after buying this camera I'd use Adobe Premier if I could.
- We will see how this upload and processing goes... if its anything less than 4K then MURDER.
Micro Climate is an AWESOME black diamond tech trail located near the base of Blackcomb's Excelerator Express, it is pedal accessed through Blackcomb's service road and the Blackcomb Bench Climb / Out of the Dust. It is a very raw and fast tech trail with no distinguishably difficult features but many roots and rocks to keep you on your toes. Like to the trail here:

My bike is the 2022 We Are One Arrival, 150mm travel and Magura MT5 brakes. This bike is bombproof and descends just as good as it climbs (which is really damn good btw). The frame and rims were hand-built in Kamloops which is my home town- and the rims were laid up by me as I worked there for about 2 years. I've been riding bikes since I was a kid and grew up in BMX racing, DH racing, watching freeride movies and going to events like Crankworx with my family. Needless to say, bikes are kind of everything to me. Glad I can start to share this world of mine with others, and begin to improve my editing and video making skills - I've wanted to do something like this for a long time now and I'm more than excited to see what the future brings!
