Thank you for sharing this wonderful walk. When I worked in midtown I would visit the Rockefeller Center tree and take in all the holiday displays even if it meant getting home well after dinnertime. But I would also visit the Financial District during the holidays as well. Although the downtown area didn't have the high energy of Rock Center, it was still very enjoyable and brought out the magic of Christmas in an entirely different way.
