+Snrub0800 durability of the gtr is absolute bullshit. quality of the gtr is a joke compared to the bugatti. it´s not only the straight line speed...... a 1000hp golf 2 for 100.000 is also faster than the r35 alpha omega and still i dont think its the better car. the bugatti does all that very easily, the gtr is getting completely ruined by it. you have to repair it so many times, it´s not nearly as durable and reliable as a bugatti, how can you not get that? also the bugatti is much more comfortable and for it´s age it´s still fast as hell.

Anankin12 ok lets forget the cost, the bugatti is more expensive anyways. the point is that you just cant drive the ams alpha omega whatever all the time. it breaks down so often and is not durable so that it is impossible to drive this car daily. it´s only for races... maybe maintaining the bug is more expensive but not because it breaks down so often, it´s just high end material everywhere which is so expensive. you can´t really compare that gtr to the bugatti simply because the bugatti can always do it. 365 days a year every day the same performance. no way can this be done with the gtr, it´s simply too much power out of that engine. something just always breaks down because it´s too much. for drag racing it´s the perfect car. but not to cruise around town and on the highway often with still having a smooth luxorious enjoyable ride like you can in the bugatti. both cars are great. the gtr better for the drag strip and of course it´s cheaper, but you don´t pay that bugatti´s price for the acceleration numbers. maybe a little bit of the price is for the numbers, but it´s mostly about the materials used, the quality with which these cars are built... it´s another league than a gtr. not only one league higher more like 5 leagues higher. i dont really think that gtr is really a car anymore. it´s a drag racing car. that´s it. i see im repeating myself, i hope you understand what i try to say and that im not hating on the gtr or looking for an excuse why it´s faster. i hope you understand why the better car between these two definitely is the bugatti. but if you have other cars and you want one for the drag strip then this gtr is definitely better than a bugatti. but that´s the only thing where i would prefer it over the bugatti

Toughest ever made in the world. Even the RB26DETT from previous skylines, bulletproof. Nissan Primera 2.0 STI with the SR20DE also one of the best 2.0 motors. As always, you can with a Nissan!

I can certainly appreciate both cars in this sprint and I think it highlights the differences perfectly. Can a car be made to be quicker than another more expensive car? Sure. Are there tradeoffs? Indeed. Bottom line, both incredibly fast. Great video!! Unlimited budget, I would take the Veyron in my stable 10/10 times, but instead I had to settle for a 1300+whp GTR :)

the ams gtr is without a doubt one of the quickest cars out there. However, the car was never designed from the factory to go above 200 mph. Seems really unstable at those speeds from the video. Thats why the bugatti costs so much. Tons of engineering went into that car. Therefore, having a top speed of 267 and being so much more stable than the gtr

The hood of the gtr coming off?? 2:32. Pretty sure if the Veyron was tuned to deliver 1200hp more violently it would hold off the gtr and get up to top speed faster than use 5 miles. Why does the gtr keep stopping?? Pretty sure it would loose on top end its sweet spot is 50-170 with the close gear ratio higher than that the veyron would probably pull. Would it be possible to rerun this im guessing the gtr kept stopping because its hood keep lifting off.

I personally prefer (and have much more respect for) the 'built not bought' approach, and how this GT-R is pit against the Veyron proves that its very capable. I feel, even its nickname 'Godzilla' isn't enough to describe the humble insanity this car outputs. What a fucking machine, truly amazing.

Vinny Booboo well everyone is initial to there opinion but the bugatti is a nice car but vhe Gtr is designed and thee engine is handmade to take more then 1500 bhp this gtr driver did not take the Gtr to it limit started of fast then slowing down I just couldn't see the sense in that at all other Gtrs have well over 1800/1900 bhp and can keep up to speeds at 236mph because of the aerodynamic of the Gtr so this video was quite disappointing to me but nice video though

Bugatti and Koniegs all come like built from factory. GTRs come with so much more potential. What's crazy is they run over 2k HP now a days with AC and you can run cross country with them for the street guys. I still choose the hyper cars...but for speed would stick with a GTR

***** Sadly mistaken bro because the veyron would pull on top end. Gtrs do not pull hard on top end but they pull on the lower end due to its close ratio transmission which makes a 1200hp gtrs sweet spot 50-170sih after that it doesn't pull so hard.

Roberson Lubin That's not what's happening in this video though. The GTR is letting off and braking, not running out of steam. What the Alpha 12 might lack in gearing it makes up for in power to weight and raw power. It's top speed is of course lower, based on the redline limitation in 6th gear, but again in this video the GTR is just backing off. It has enough power and gearing to open that 20-car lead even if eventually the Veyron would catch up.

***** The gtr is braking because of its hood keeps getting loose. It will not open 20 car lengths lol once you see them get up to 160mph the space between them stops and the gtr lets off. would love to see them rerun this to 180-190mph. They obviously keep stopping at 160 mph when they are still pretty close 1-2 car lengths. 20 car lengths would never happen between two cars making similar horsepower and weight almost the same. If the veyron was tuned to deliver the power more violently it would pull but its made for luxury not top speed or to be a track car rather a comfortable 200+mph capable car impressive you can go 200 with one hand and not break a sweat.

By a considerable margin. Notice the GTR ease off everytime it gets to 300kph? thats because its prob got another 30kph and holding it at that with all the modifications is likely to blow something. Impressive the engine withstands that amount of additional power but the veyron was designed to take it all day long.
