For several years, my viewers had been asking me to visit Fuji city, and I finally had the chance to go. However, I had bought my ticket too early, and the weather took a turn for the worse. While it was a shame that I couldn't see Mt. Fuji from Fuji city due to the rain, I wasn't going to let it stop me from exploring the area.
I started my journey at Shin-Fuji station, where my bullet train arrived, and walked through the rural area and along a nameless river to Fuji station, where normal trains stop. From there, I strolled through the market street and found myself at another river. After more walking, I finally arrived at Central Park. Later, I discovered another market area and walked through it to reach Hon-Yoshiwara station. Despite the rainy weather, it was still a beautiful walk and a great experience to explore a new place.
No cats were found 😹

Smaller Japanese towns often seem like ghost towns. The atmosphere in this video is somehow magical and weird because it is sooo calm and you do not see anyone.

A lot of rural towns in Japan are like this. Everyone drives so shopping and such are built along main roads, leaving the once bustling areas near the train stations desolate. Even the Shin Fuji station is one of the least used Shinkansen stations on the whole Tokaido line.

Great rainy walk🌧, more than 2 hours, awesome! As you've shown many times, any weather can't stop you👍❄👍🌩. In spite of the grey sky the river, parks and streets got special look, beautiful after all - an excellent cameraman only can make it💖! Yes, life often makes fun of us - no Fuji seen in Fuji City...but no problem, sure there are lots of other trips to come 🍀🏔🥰 !!

Nice video. Question. What's with Japanese privacy? Every window, but literally every single window is covered by heavy white curtains, so no one sees inside. Personally I like open view on windows, no curtains at all, not to feel like I live in a box, which doesn't seem to bother an average Japanese person. Anyway, I'm amazed by Japan, always wanted to visit it. Someday I will, because it's always nice to see so much different cultures, a lifestyle that differs from, let's say Barcelona, so diametrically opposite.

I’ve seen a few other videos people have made living in Japan, they have their curtains open most of the time. Maybe because it’s gloomy weather, they close their curtains.

This was back in March 2019 for me but I spent a day in Fuji City just walking around but also looking for a good location to take photos of Mount Fuji without powerlines on the street getting in the way. I found a place while checking google maps called Gan Park and it's a wide open space with some tree's scattered around and short grass fields. It ended up being a really good location to go so I took some photos on my canon camera at the time and a few selfies on my phone. And it's one of my favourite selfies for sure that I have ever taken and Fuji looks so much bigger to the naked eye than it does in photos and videos, I can tell you that. In general, I really want to go back to Japan this year. Maybe in the later Autumn would be ideal. And Japan is certainly looking more back to normal after the pandemic finally!

@@Rambalac Your car lol.. I think he might think you walk so far from where you started from in your video, you might have forgotten where your car is. But I don’t think you own a car since we see you use their public transportation to wherever you’re going. I hate that you have a long walk back to the train station to get back home. I hope you have comfortable shoes. 😁 👟
