Depends if you love Halloween or are very fascinated by witch trial history. It's really one of the biggest Halloween celebrations in the country. The hotels in and around Salem book up early as far as I know though but there is easy commuter rail train access from other places. It's also easy to visit Boston as well, there are tons of historical tours you can sign up for.
