(4K) San Francisco to Los Angeles | TRIP REPORT | Alaska Airlines AS171 Boeing 737-700

Back in May 2024, I took a short trip to Los Angeles not as my final destination but to actually connect to my flight to Sydney Australia. I don't frequently fly on Alaska and chose to flight to see what the experience would be like again. The flight was a quick one hour flight and was uneventful.

Good take off

I almost forgot Alaska still has Boeing 737-700s. I almost forgot they have main line service between So. Cal and SFO. Did the fog have something to do with the take off? The only time I ever took off in that direction out of SFO was a late flight to Seattle and it was raining pretty heavy that night and all the flights were delayed. I got out just in time.

@@aviationwithjeff I’m not sure whether fog was a factor in the direction of takeoffs, my only guess was that they may have been working on a particular section of runway 28L such that runways 1L and R were not operational but that’s just a total guess. Yeah weather can really make travel in and out of SFO a chore. Whenever possible I try to fly out of SJC for intra California flights.
