nothing like demolishing a waterfront elevated freeway to improve a city. wonderful. more tunnels, more ring roads, less viaducts cutting thru historic neighborhoods and inhibiting light, air and people getting to the oceans, rivers, parks, etc

I have always loved the Seattle waterfront…Used to go down there as a kid with my brother and just run around everywhere down there. It’s kind of crazy to think about two kids no more than about 12 or 13 years old running around downtown Seattle by themselves…lol.

Thank you for this video. I find the post from the "first poster" funny and extraordinarily ignorant. This video is meant for people like me (I think) that live on the eastside suburbs of Seattle and haven't been to the waterfront since the viaduct was demolished. I switched jobs about 6 years ago and I haven't had to drive into Seattle since then. What the city has done to the waterfront is such an impressive improvement and there is more to come.

Well, that is why your opinion doesn't matter. I found this video useful. I live about 15 miles from the Seattle waterfront but I haven't been there in about 6-7 years; not since the viaduct was demolished. Before I searched for a video like this today I was thinking I wanted to take the time to drive over to the waterfront and spend an afternoon wandering around down there to see it... but now I don't have to. So to me this video definitely has a purpose and it saved me time and money. lol Have a nice life buddy.

Nothing except increase public access and enjoyment of an urban public waterfront, AND replacing a badly engineered double decker highway that WILL collapse during a big seismic event. AND did I mention opening up the waterfront to even more foot traffic to support the businesses along Alaska Way?! Yep, in alt-fact world, this does absolutely nothing.
