Avoriaz looks quite nice, and Crystal Ski also goes there, so its a resort to think about for the future. BTW, using an engineering trigonometry web page - never touched that at school - the slope at CF is 22.2%, and is a 12.5 degree angled slope. 😨 No wonder I've fallen twice on it, with the last time on my last run last Tues. 😧Luckily nothing broke, or dislocated, or sprained or bruised, but it knocked the wind out of me, and shook me up, before that I was sort of doing ok, shows loosing concentration for a second can do, that and tired legs.

Portes du Soleil is very popular with the Brits. I went a couple of times as a group, however, they tend to stay in Morzine, after getting a transfer from Geneva. Just remember, falling is normal and helps you progress. It means you are actually pushing your boundaries... If you know you are going to fall, try not to resist, let it happen naturally and go with the flow... If you are worried about injury, get some leg/hip and back padding/support.. I always wear it and really helps...

@@ChasingSnow Thanks for the heads up about Portes du Soleil. As for my skiing, been using 160 cm, but I'm only just 167 cm, and as as they are still just rentals, I'll try some 158's or close to that on Tues, as that's the recommended ski length for my height and beginner skill level - started on 145's but they were Squirrelly.

@@Puzzoozoo It's good that you can play around with sizes to see what suits you best...
