Another super production, bringing the hill to the skiers even before the skiers get to the hill! BRAVO!

What a fun run. Been ill for the past week or so and not able to do much but complain and watch tv. Your videos are a real treat. The snow on this run looked soft but sounded almost like skiing through water. Explain the sound.

Hi Barry, you have been a little quiet lately, hope you are feeling much better now. The snow is fresh on top but icy under so when I ski on the fresh stuff it's all nice and quiet but when I hit the icy bit it makes that water kind of noise.

@@ChasingSnow I will let you know how it was. Your videos shows well how steep the slopes are. Especially the red ones are interesting for me. Some of them aren't so steep and for me as a second season skiër those are interesting. I think i won't do any black slopes.

Yikes, look at the size of the ques at those two chairlifts at the end of your run. 😲 Is this normal during the French school holidays? I'm going to Alpe d'Huez on 3rd Feb and La Plagne 16 March in order to avoid the French school crowds.

Aha, the morning queue. That was the only time I ended in one that large. Generally late morning most people are dispersed around the resort and queues are much better. Glad you've got a couple of resorts booked, should be fun!

@@ChasingSnowThank you. Just curious about that morning que. Is it a common occurrence for masses of early bird skiers like that to be at the chairlift for when it opens to be the first up? I'm asking as on one or two of your videos you were an early bird skier, and rode up all on your onio, and practically had the whole mountain to yourself. As I told you I won't be bothering with lessons at La Plagne, and I'm by habit an early bird - 40 years of morning shifts did that -, so for my weeks practice, I'll be at the chairlift before the man comes to start it up to go up the hill while it all the runs are empty and groomed.

@Puzzoozoo it really depends, busy periods and good conditions will get people out. It tends not to be an issue at the larger resorts once everyone spreads out.
