Beautiful and deep. This inspired me to not only plant more trees, but to see myself as if I could make anything. I’m 21 right now, and have been feeling rather down about myself lately. But I want to make life, and joy! This gave me a feeling like I could.

You know. It makes sense. Evil things do happen no denial there. But to do something beautiful isn't related. You can do beautiful and look at the beauty. It's not prohibited to wait until evil passes. You are allowed to do that the moment you want. It all makes so much sense if you put it that way.

one of the most beautiful films I've ever had the privilege of watching. re-watch it every year or so. if anyone found this movie moving, I'd whole-heartedly recommend Night on the Galactic Railroad, similarly enriching and encouraging. thank you uploaded for this high quality version, too.

Love this film. They showed this in one of the yearly Festival of Animation events that used to tour the US and I looked for it for about 15 years and finally found it in a Frederic Back import set. One of my favorites. I taught illustration at an art college one semester and showed the class this film. I was sitting towards the front and when it finished and the credits were on I turned around and the entire class looked mesmerized. I think one of the students said something like "Let's watch it again.".

Yesterday, I suddenly remembered to search for this film, which I had not seen since 1990. It is even more touching and beautiful than I had remembered. As a work of cinema and animation, it is singular in its spirituality. I am very appreciative of the opportunity to have this inspiring experience once again.

On the VHS cassette of this wonderful film, circa 1990 I think, there was also a Canadian animation about the many lives of a rocking chair, and a British animation voiced by Dawn French about the damage we're doing to Mother Earth. Think both are somewhere on YT but I've forgotten the titles.

I am a bit remember this being premiered on Channel 4. Some animation award and I went out and bought it on VHS. I no longer have a video recorder, but it is a stunning film beautiful narration by Christopher Plummer and brings me to tears every time.

I understand this, i have been collecting seeds of all types and planting them. I found tons of acorns with roots at a rest area with many oaks traveling from Chicago area to Tennessee. I collected a large bag and me and my girlfriend planted them on some land we bought in Tennessee. I'd also planted a bunch of pear seeds that i sprouted in my fridge and various other seeds of fruits i had saved. Our property is in need of restoration, just like in this movie but likely not nearly as bad. I hope these trees grow.
