I think youtube recommended this channel one day BECAUSE I'd just finished Persona 5 and was obsessed. I am so so grateful KZbin decided to show me and I've since gone back and watched a lot of your older videos. Thank you for all you do!

can you explain?
@sundern1689 Жыл бұрын
@@theID2 there's a game called Persona 5 in which the main character and his friends form a crew called the Phantom Thieves. The area in this video is what an area in the game was based on. more specifically the area at 57:26 to 58:43. The place named "Phantom" is just about where the cafe in game called leblanc is, which also happens to be the main character lives.

I never said before but thank you so much for these. During the Pandemic I was stuck indoors. I was fortunate enough to be able to work from home, but I still wasn't able to go anywhere. I discovered your videos during, and I was able to get out and walk in a wonderful place I have never seen before! You helped me so much get through my isolation, thank you deeply. Now when I am feeling stressed or overwhelmed, I come here, to your Japan walks to relax. I owe you a great debt of gratitude. Much love and appreciation.

Really wish the US had actually designed their cities in this fashion. Just feels right.
@thenewbornn2 жыл бұрын
Im glad they didn‘t. dont want to go japan just to see that the us literally copied everything.
@jonathanmayland31622 жыл бұрын
@Optimuz I was just referring to the density of their cities, and their walkability. You know, designing cities the way we had for the thousands of years we existed without cars.
@MugiwaraRuffy2 жыл бұрын
I think, especially in the US zoning code, which basically forbids mixed-use zoning in city centers (or in general) are to blame.
@neubro14482 жыл бұрын
Closest it gets to are thriving pre-WWII cities and neighborhoods. As said with the reply with zoning code allowing mixed used density and commercial ground space. Now it's all Euclidian zoning filled with sprawling suburbs.

I am playing Persona 5 Royal on Steam and Holy Tornado, this looks exactly the home area of the game. Where Ren is running around with his Cat Morgana. I knew that P5R has places modeled after real locations in Tokyo but didn't know this was inspired by P5R. Atlus you are a Genius! Also that is cool to see that there is a local tram line that goes there. I recognize the freeway because the logo for the location includes the freeway there. I still haven't beaten the game but I will as soon I get free time and after my semester ends. The Persona and SMT games now makes me want to explore more of Tokyo and many Japan cities and countryside one day. Thank you Sega/Atlus.
Great job Rambalac. I love persona 5. Thank you. Greetings from Tbilisi, Georgia

Persona 5 creator Katsura Hashino: “I wanted to build a game like a picaresque novel. So I needed a place that showed that the character didn’t have anywhere to go and where the character confronts the adult generation.” “For the place where the character should live, I found it nice to have a large highway that looked like it covered all the the city, and for the character to end up in the small streets at the brink of destruction.” “There, he would find shelter at an old man’s place, I thought that it would be a good place to start the story.” From Katsura Hashino's Archipel interview.
